INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST – NATIONAL OFFICE

The ICT Department, in the National Office, has a vacancy for an Information Security Analyst.

 

Purpose: The Information Security Analyst is a mid-level role responsible for independently implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the CCMA’s information and cybersecurity controls, processes, and standards. The role provides operational and analytical support in safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity and availability of CCMA information assets, systems, networks and digital services. The incumbent contributes to security risk management, compliance monitoring, incident response, user awareness, and the continuous improvement of ICT security governance across the organisation, in line with public sector regulatory, governance, and accountability requirements.

 

Key Performance Areas:-

  • Applications, Systems and Database Security Management
  • Data Protection and Access Security
  • Security Incident Monitoring and Response
  • Security Governance, Policies and Procedures
  • Access Control Configuration Management
  • Protection Against Malicious Code
  • Security Reporting and Documentation
  • Security Communication and Documentation

 

Key Requirements:

Relevant Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) in:

  • Information Technology
  • Computer Science
  • Information Systems

Relevant industry certifications will be an added advantage, for example:

  • CompTIA Security+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Microsoft Security, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals
  • ISO/IEC 27001 Foundation
  • Certified in Cybersecurity (ISC2) or equivalent intermediate certification

Experience

2–4 years’ relevant experience in information security, cyber security or ICT security support, including practical experience in:

  • security monitoring, incident handling and escalation,
  • access control administration, identity and user security management,
  • vulnerability management, compliance monitoring and security reporting,
  • supporting implementation and monitoring of security controls across endpoints, servers, networks and business applications,
  • working independently on routine operational security tasks while escalating complex or high-risk matters appropriately,
  • a public sector or regulated environment will be an added advantage.

Purpose: To provide a professional reception service in welcoming CCMA visitors and directing them to the correct Departments in order for them to conduct their business efficiently. To respond to internal and external calls, take messages and channel calls to the appropriate persons. 

 

Key Performance Areas: –

  • Reception & Switchboard Management
  • General Office Administration.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Grade 12.
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience as a receptionist/switchboard operator in a professional/corporate environment.

The Limpopo Province – Thabazimbi Office requests the services of a Part Time Interpreter.

 

Purpose: To assist the CCMA Commissioners and structures by providing interpreter services to facilitate successful outcomes of CCMA activities.

 

Key Performance Areas:-

  • Verbal interpretations during hearings.
  • Administrative support functions.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate
  • Relevant certificate NQF 5 (Communication/Languages)
  • One (1) to three (3) years relevant working experience as an Interpreter
  • At least three South African languages (Oral/Read/Write)

 

Languages: Must be proficient in any three (3) of the following languages:

IsiZulu/IsiXhosa and SePedi/Setswana
