Assistant Manager: Demand Management - National Office (Post level: 06)
Finance – Supply Chain Unit has a vacancy for an Assistant Manager: Demand Management.
 
Purpose
To provide a strategic function within the procurement process to ensure alignment of business needs of goods and services required, includes identification, planning and management of the accurate and forecasts of the organisation’s needs.
 
 
Key Performance Areas:-
• Monitoring and placing projects on the procurement plan of the organisation
• Coordinate research activities for market analysis, estimated costs, and determine the most appropriate procurement strategy for goods and services required by the end user
• Provide technical support to end users during the demand management process
• Ensure compliance with SCM policy, processes and procedures, laws and regulations
• Provide technical support to bid specification and evaluation committee
• Review bid specification and evaluation committee reports and ensure technical compliance
• Supervise demand planning team in demand management activities
• Oversee daily activities of team and provide guidance as needed
• Identify demand forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plans
• Develop demand plan based on business trends and demand patterns
• Monitoring and managing contract management process.
• Contracts commitments


 
Key Requirements
• National Diploma and/or B-Com in Supply Chain Management, Public Finance/ Accounting / Cost & Management/ economics or other related qualifications
• Five (5) years working experience in SCM of which 3 years must be at a junior management level

Core Competencies: Knowledge:
• Knowledge and understanding of the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, BBBEE, PPPFA and other relevant prescripts
