OFFICER STAKEHOLDER RELATIONS

Appointment Minimum Requirements: 
Higher Certificate or Relevant working experience 
 
Primary Function 
To provide support in building and maintaining relationships through communicating with all relevant stakeholders such as Ward Councilors, community based organizations, members of the community as well as City Power customers and uphold City Power’s image. 
 
Key responsibilities 
Build and maintain the regional stakeholder databases. Maintain regular interactions and relationships with stakeholders. Participate in various forums to keep abreast of developments and inform relevant role players. Liaise and partner with all City of Johannesburg entities, region, private stakeholders and other relevant government departments. Give input on the process to be taken to resolve conflict when necessary. Inform and advise stakeholders and other role players of upcoming service delivery disruptions. Advise Stakeholders about procedure to be followed as and when there are queries relating to City Power. Participate in Road-shows and escalate any service delivery issues or challenges raised to relevant personnel. Participate in information session meetings with Ward Councillors, Ward Committees and relevant stakeholders on all projects in the region. Provide regular feedback to various stakeholders. Resolve all community queries related to City Power projects as and when they arise. Acknowledge and notify query receipt to customer, Councillors and Regional Directors Office. Analyse and follow up on queries from communities, Councillors and Regional Directors. Attend and support all City Power and City of Johannesburg’s educational campaigns. Support Revenue Protection on organised operations with internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to identifying, reporting and monitoring of areas of potential revenue loss. Identify and report visible areas where there are illegal connections or non-payment. Attend Ward Committee Meeting with Councillors and the Team. Conduct site visits and walkabouts in your region and escalate any issues or challenges to the Regional/ Depot Manager.

PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT 
GROUP: CORPORATE SERVICES 
DEPARTMENT: EMPLOYEE SERVICES CENTRE 
REPORTING TO: SENIOR MANAGER REMUNERATIONS & BENEFITS 
 
Appointment Requirements: 
• National Diploma (NQF 6) in Human Resources/, Business/ Financial Management 
3 years’ relevant experience 
 
Primary Function: 
Oversee all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and timely disbursement of employee compensation 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
Participate in the development of human resources strategies and frameworks. Manage the consistent application of all Human Resources strategies, plans, frameworks, standards, and procedures. Contribute to the development of all Human Resources governance systems. Manage the Human Resources business operations and initiatives to ensure seamless integration. Supervise and lead a team of payroll accountants responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time for all employees. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as labor laws and company policies related to payroll. Maintain and update payroll records, including employee data, tax withholding information, and pay rates. Maintain payroll records and collaborating with other departments to address payroll-related matters. Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing cycle, including data input, verification, calculations, and distribution of paychecks or electronic transfers. Coordinate and manage employee benefits deductions, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions as applicable. Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of payroll data to identify and correct discrepancies or errors.

• 7 years’ experience is Security Management or Policing or Forensic or Criminal Investigations or Law environment of which 3 years must be at middle management level 
 
Statutory Professional Body Registration: 
• Private Security Industry Regulation Authority (Grade A), 
 
Primary Function: 
The SM: Sec Ops is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of security within the organization pertaining execution of security strategy. This includes developing and implementing comprehensive operations security strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the safety of City Power's assets, infrastructure, employees, and the public. The incumbent ensures security operations align with organizational goals and regulatory standards and is proactive in identifying and mitigating potential security risks. They also manage relationships with external security service providers and law enforcement agencies, and coordinate responses to security incidents. In essence, their purpose is to provide a secure environment that supports City Power's operations and strategic objectives. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
Participate in the formulation and implementation of Security Operations strategy, plans and budgets. Evaluate and comment on the applicability of specific key performance indicators and measures against outcomes detailed in the departments strategic plansEstablish a sustainable process to identify, assess and prioritise Security risks as these relate to the business and operations, in order to promote a Security and risk-aware culture, ensure that any potential impact is understood, and facilitate effective decision making and Security risk mitigation. Prepare and submit for approval the forecast of divisional budgets in line with departmental guidelines. Manage overall costs within the division, against guidelines and take action where necessary. Monitor the strict adherence to governance and setting high standards of professionalism within the City Power section. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and all security-related legislation and reporting. Engage the management team to align governance structures with short and long term planning and projections. Create an ethos of excellence, a disciplined work ethic and a desire for continuous improvement within the department. Approve and monitor the achievement of transformation, equity and skills development plans for the department. Allocate responsibility and accountability for achievement of goals and targets. Monitor the safety of people and minimise injury and the loss of productivity through safety incidents across the department. Approve short term targets in respect of SHE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which conform to City Power standards, national legislation and accepted international norms.

The SM: S³O (SSSO) is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing strategic security initiatives within City Power. Their purpose is to safeguard the organization's assets, infrastructure, employees, and the public through proactive risk identification and mitigation planning. They design comprehensive security programs and strategies that align with the company's business objectives and adhere to regulatory standards. This includes contingency planning, threat modeling, and the implementation of innovative security technologies and practices. They also lead the process of security policy development, enforcement, and regular review to ensure continuous adaptability and improvement in the face of evolving security threats. In addition, they lead collaborative efforts with the Criminal Justice system to investigate and successful prosecute essential infrastructure offenders 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
Participate in the formulation and implementation of security strategy, plans and budgets. Analyse and align operating capacity and capabilities of the Division to deliver against security strategy and special operations specific key performance areas. Establish a sustainable process to identify, assess and prioritise security risks across all business operations. Develop security strategies, procedures, plans and processes to mitigate identified security-related business risks. Participate in the identification of organizational strategic risks, formulation of risk mitigation strategies and plans and further track their implementation. Evaluate and implement changes in the divisions in line with new trends, risks, threats and network infrastructure expansions. Establish and maintain relationships with local, provincial and national law enforcement agencies and other related government agencies, community-based crime prevention structures partners and stakeholders. Manage overall costs within the division, against guidelines and take action where necessary. Monitor the utilisation of the budget within the division, to ensure that expenditure is effectively managed and allocated efficiently. Allocate responsibility and accountability for achievement of goals and targets. Monitor performance and address any issues as they arise. Monitor and manage performance towards goals and organisational objectives, to ensure overall success.
