REPORTING TO: TEAM LEADER DISTRIBUTION
Appointment Minimum Requirements:
- N2-N6 and Electrical Trade Test Certificate
- Valid Code C1 Driver’s License (Code 10)
- Valid Professional Drivers Permit (PdP)
- Holding a Certificate of Competence as an Operator
- ORHVS competence certificate
- At least 5 years Operational experience of which 2 years must be on the City Power Electrical Network
Primary Function: Perform daily maintenance, repair, test and installation of electrical systems and equipment. Perform network operating at all voltage levels to ensure a continuous availability of supply. To ensure a reliable and safe electrical system through the application of technical competencies in various tasks requiring a certified level of skills. Contribute towards maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities: Test, program, repair, maintain and install electrical systems. Maintain and repair existing wiring and connections to ensure they meet standards and are not at risk of being damaged. Maintain and repair existing meters and accessories to ensure they meet standards and are not at risk of being damaged. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Analyse and interpret wiring diagrams, drawings, sketches, specifications, etc. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make repairs and adjustments using the necessary test equipment, instruments and tools of the trade. Install, modify and maintain new and existing systems and by working from drawings, sketches and through verbal instructions. Maintain a safe, clean work area, perform work in accordance with electrical codes, specifications. Maintain wiring on motors, transformers, and other electrical controllers attached to large power systems. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical wiring, switches and transformers. Optimally respond to all emergency call-outs on MV/HV/LV complaints and ensure best possible response times. Be able to test the safety of electrical wiring. Optimally respond to load management queries and ensure the best possible response time. Be able to repair cable faults on MV, LV network and terminations. Optimally respond to meter-related queries and ensure the best possible response time. Adhere and comply with Safety and Security programs and objectives. Ensure that SABS, ISO and NOSA Standards are adhered to at all times. Adhere and comply to environmental management programme and policies. Ensure that vehicles are utilised lawfully and in accordance to the organisation’s policy. Update the logbook and ensure that accurate records are kept. Ensure that the right tools and equipment are available and in good condition. Maintain an appropriate level of commonly used consumables/ spares. Ensure compliance and outage responses as per NERSA standards. Interact professionally with customers- Where appropriate, keeps customers informed regarding work that is being done and its effect on the customer.

DESIGNATION: MANAGER SCM GOVERNANCE AND COMPLIANCE

DEPARTMNENT: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
REPORTING TO: SENIOR MANAGER SCM GOVERNANCE AND COMPLIANCE
Appointment Minimum Requirements:
• National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Supply Chain Management / Finance/Audit
• 5 years’ experience in SCM, audit, Risk and compliance, of which 3 years must be at supervisory level.
Added Advantage:
• Municipal Finance Management Programme
• Post graduate qualification Supply Cain Management/Finance/Audit
Primary Function
The primary objective of this position is to be responsible for governance and compliance with supply chain management, SCM risk management.
Key responsibilities
Input into the development of SCM-related city-wide policy, norms, standards framework, and guidelines. Ensure compliance with requirement of all regulatory bodies applicable in SCM environment. Conduct SCM risk assessment and mitigation strategies. Develop and manage SCM regulatory and compliance audits. Oversee standard of quality with regards to all procurement documentation and communications Manage the development and maintenance of SCM strategy. Develop implementation plan of SCM compliance and monitoring framework. Manage the research, design, development and maintenance of policies and standard operating procedures. Develop improvement plans. Resolution of non-compliance issues.
