Appointment Minimum Requirements:
Primary Function: The Senior Manager for Facilities Management is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, maintenance, and efficient operation of all facility-related functions, including infrastructure, building systems, and civil works. The role ensures a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment that aligns with organizational goals, regulatory compliance, and sustainability initiatives. Establish CAPEX funding allocated to projects and identify and manage risks within the project execution environment.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement long-term strategies for facility maintenance and operational efficiency. Forecast future needs and plan resources accordingly. Project Management Office strategy, plans and budget projections thereof. Participate in formulation of the Oversee regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs for all facilities. Manage utilities, HVAC systems, fire safety systems, and other building systems. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Negotiate contracts with service providers and vendors. Monitor contractor performance and adherence to agreed service levels. Prepare and manage budgets for facilities operations and capital projects. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Oversee civil construction and renovation projects, ensuring timely completion within budget. Review architectural and engineering designs, providing inputs for efficiency and functionality. Ensure all civil works comply with local building codes and regulations. Manage acquisition of necessary permits and approvals for construction activities. Supervise site activities to maintain quality standards. Resolve any issues or discrepancies during construction or renovation. Lead a multidisciplinary team of facility engineers, technicians, and support staff. Collaborate with other departments to address facility needs and resolve issues. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement. Implement energy efficiency measures and waste reduction strategies. Explore and integrate renewable energy solutions where applicable. Promote sustainable practices in civil and facility operations.

- 7 years’ experience of which 3 years must be at middle management level

Appointment Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF 6) in Journalism/Public Relations/ Digital Media/ Communication /Digital Marketing
- 5 years’ relevant experience in Digital Media, of which 3 years must be at a supervisory capacity
Primary Function: To lead and manage City Power's public relations and external communications strategy, ensuring effective engagement with the public, media, and stakeholders to enhance the company's reputation and convey its key messages. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive communication plans, managing media relations, and overseeing the creation of content that aligns with City Power's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive PR strategy. Organize and oversee public events and press conferences. Manage the creation and distribution of press releases and official statements. Identify and engage with key stakeholders and community leaders. Coordinate regular meetings and communication with stakeholders. Develop informational materials and presentations for stakeholders. Develop and maintain a crisis communication plan. Train staff on crisis communication procedures. Act as the primary spokesperson during crises. Create and execute awareness campaigns for new projects and services. Develop informative brochures, flyers, and newsletters. Organize community outreach programs and informational sessions. Draft and review all external communications for clarity and consistency. Maintain a calendar of key communication activities and events. Develop and implement community engagement programs. Organize community meetings and forums to gather public input. Maintain regular communication with government officials and regulatory bodies. Prepare reports and presentations for regulatory meetings and hearings. Develop metrics to assess the effectiveness of PR and communication strategies. Conduct surveys and gather feedback from stakeholders and the public. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Establish and nurture relationships with key media contacts. Coordinate media interviews and briefings.

DESIGNATION: ELECTRICIAN - WIRING

Appointment Minimum Requirements:
- N4 or Higher Certificate in Electrical Engineering with Electrical Trade Test.
- Heavy Motor Vehicle License Code C1 or higher,
- 10 years’ experience in the electrical distribution industry of which 3 years must be in the renewable energy space
Added advantage:
- Wireman’s License,
- Basic Computer Skills
Primary Function: Perform a variety of tasks relating to wiring, setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. Installation of electrical wiring in buildings and poles, troubleshooting malfunctions, blackouts and repairing appliances.
Key Responsibilities: Test, repair, and maintain electrical wiring of both AC and DC systems. Ensure existing wiring and connections meet standards and are not at risk of being damaged. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Analyze and interpret wiring diagrams, drawings, sketches, specifications, etc. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make repairs and adjustments using the necessary test equipment, instruments and tools of the trade. Overhaul and repair all electrical wiring equipment. Replace and repair component parts to maintain and establish operational status of equipment. Install new system, modify existing electrical wiring systems, equipment and devices working from drawings, sketches and verbal instructions. Maintain a safe, clean work area, perform work in accordance with electrical codes, specifications. Inspect large electrical wiring systems to ensure they meet regulatory and local building codes. Maintain wiring on motors, transformers, Solar plant and other electrical controllers attached to large power systems. Perform predictive and preventative maintenance on electrical wiring of AC and DC systems. Respond to all emergency call-outs. Test the safety of electrical wiring. Adherence to Safety and Security programs and objectives. SABS, ISO and NOSA Standards are adhered to at all times. Comply to Safety and Security procedures, programs and objectives. Comply to environmental management programme and policies. Identify hazardous conditions and faulty equipment that can impact overall safety. Adhere to the organisation's environmental management programme and policies.
