Appointment Minimum Requirements

Primary Function
Oversee the Enterprise Resource Planning department and ensure availability, performance and maintenance of the City Power SAP system in accordance with internal Service Level Agreement. Develop, support and enhance the implemented SAP modules according to business requirements and ensure optimal use of the investment in SAP at City Power.
 
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Enterprise Resource Planning team to ensure that SAP application is available, accessible and is performing in line with business requirements. Develop business cases aimed at ensuring adequate capacity of the SAP application to meet business needs. Participate in projects related to SAP application improvement, enhancement and other applications requiring SAP integration. Liaise with the various information technology departments in co–creating solutions aimed at ensuring the overall information systems environment is fit for purpose. Coordinate and monitor the strategy implementation by the ERP team and drive key outcomes. Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP application, configurations, and support processes. Generate regular reports on application performance, incident resolution, and other relevant metrics for management review. Develop and facilitate training interventions based on business needs. Regularly Monitor and assess SAP system to ensure adherence to IOT policies. Implement IOT Strategy in support of the business strategy, goals and objectives. Implement Risk Management Process and track progress on implementation of treatment plans to address identified risks. Keep abreast with developments in SAP Enterprise Resource Planning to foster continuous improvement. Participate in workforce planning and ensure function is suitably staffed to meet strategic functional objectives. Influence and implement Group, Divisional and Departmental organisational structures. Participate in the on-boarding of new and the off-boarding of existing employees within the Group, Divisional and Department. Develop and coach team members and encourage knowledge transfer. Analyse trends and identify competency training gaps. Manage disciplinary and grievance enquires/ process in consultation with the HR&T: Employee Relations. Recognise and reward good performance. Manage change in the work environment with team members. Monitor and address workplace well-being. Promote a culture of good governance, transparency and accountability. Formulate and implement codes of conduct, standard operating procedures, etc. Attend and participate in all required governance structures, e.g. EXCO, Board and Subcommittee, GMC’s. Compile reports on the status and performance of the Departmental/ Divisional/Team aligned to City Power Strategy and KPI’s. Understanding and application of relevant legislation including but not limited to MFMA, PFMA.

Primary Function
Creates and develops security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure. Coordinates with management, programmers, risk assessment staff, auditors, facilities, and other security departments to identify and plan for security in all aspects of data, applications, hardware, telecommunications, and computer installations.
 
Key responsibilities
Develops best practices for all aspects of data security, including physical, network, database and application. Reviews and approves all technical designs and implementation plans to ensure compliance. Develops strategies and provides support for initiatives to continuously improve enterprise data security and assists in the development and regular testing of the enterprise business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Manage, lead and hire a world-class Security and IT team that meets the needs of a dynamic and scaling organization. Perform IT security risk assessments and report on ways to minimize threats, business technology, visual, structural, editorial, cognitive and brand strategists. Validates information delivery by developing and completing usability test plans, evaluating traffic patterns, studying user feedback coordinating with Data Management teams and End Users across the organisation. Effectively manage data life cycle through alignment to the Enterprises Data Management Strategy to both ICT and Business Strategies. Address data at rest (i.e. interfaces) by consistently interpreting business requirements and mapping to enterprise data models. Provide common vision of data operations that make it possible to predict, model, gauge and control the flow of data. Design and enforce all security standards and procedures in systems and design all security policies and guidelines for all system security processes. Manage all mitigation processes and security audits. Coordinate with various departments to evaluate all products and recommend appropriate products to enhance network securities and perform tests on architecture. Contribute to all system design. Analyse all engineering processes and provide support to all firewalls and network for operating systems and scan all network devices and propose mitigation strategies.

Primary Function
To provide technical and functional solutions pertaining to Cyber Security in line with management processes, methodologies, technology strategy and business strategy.
 
Key responsibilities
Provide technical leadership to the information security management program of the organisation, to ensure the protection of internet-connected systems, networks and programs including hardware, software, and data. Leads cyber security assessments, and penetration tests, identify emerging threats and, recommend ways to minimise threats to the organisation’s technology and value chain. Conduct vulnerability assessments, using various assessment methodologies and tools, identify foreign devices , online security related resources, and unusual behaviours on the network and implement remedial action. Monitor and investigate real time alerts, traffic patterns, incidents, credentials and respond in line with best practise and policy. Identify, track, and communicate overall risk factors and constraints, develop, and implement mitigation plans. Design remedial action to mitigate gaps from internal and external audits. Conduct discipline specific research and ensure that best practise is implemented. Investigate new security technologies to determine potential value for the organisation. Draft reports pertaining to IS security performance, availability metrics, and incident management and provide recommendations. Develop and grow effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Manage interfaces with stakeholders provide solutions, to ensure effective, integrated and seamless solution delivery, in line with applicable standards and best practice.

Primary Function:
The primary objective of this position is to provide secretarial support to the Office of the Chief Information Officer and ensure efficient running of the office.
 
Key responsibilities:
Organise internal meetings and teleconferences and produce minutes thereafter, Organise hospitality for meetings as and when required, Co-ordinate external meetings and functions via the relevant City Power process, including booking venues, accommodation and travel arrangements where applicable. Prepare and quality assure documents/presentations/packs for the CIO for meetings and other purposes. Filter incoming mail/correspondence by sorting, redirecting and taking action as appropriate. Plan your own day through effective utilisation of time management, action plans, and task prioritisation. Consult daily with your CIO to establish priorities and next steps. Keep your Group Executive informed as to progress on delegated tasks and items requiring his/her attention. Develop and populate leave calendar for the CIO and his/her direct reports. Load and capture actual leave on SAP for CIO and his/her direct reports. Electronic and manual filing of documentation. Screen telephone calls to the CIO. Respond directly and take action in terms of established processes and procedures where delegated by the CIO. Exercise sound judgment in prioritising levels of importance and urgency and escalate where necessary. Complete research for the CIO. Coordinate the flow of information between the CIO’s office and other Group Executives/ Senior Management. Assist in the co-ordination of communication from the CIO to the business unit to ensure that consistent, current messages are communicated. Arrange or compile presentations for seminars, workshops and meetings. Prepare notes for the CIO’s presentations. Incorporate the CIO’s style on preparing presentations. Contribute to your CIO’s effectiveness by taking on appropriate ad hoc duties that will enable him/her to focus on his/her core responsibilities. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate resolution of complaints and queries sent to the CIO’s office by responding, resolving, referring, escalating and following-up as authorized by the CIO to ensure client satisfaction with service level. Provide relevant feedback to customers on behalf of the CIO’s office where authorized. Develop, implement and administer departmental office systems and procedures. Accurate filing and record keeping. Sort and distribute e-mails, faxes and other communication. Ensure that all office equipment is in good working condition and reporting faults timeously. Order stationery through the SAP system. Create Reservations Requisitions and purchase orders on SAP to ensure that invoices are paid on time by Finance. Produce reports in both hard and electronic formats. Collate, bind and distribute reports in good time. Maintain up-to-date distribution lists for each report. Collect and consolidate departmental data and draft monthly reports in the correct format including ad hoc reports for the Board, Shareholders and Exco on request/instruction of the CIO.

Primary Function
The primary objective of this position is to be responsible for acquisition of goods and services.
 
Key responsibilities
Develop sourcing and procurement strategies for commodity and services based on the procurement plan. Manage the procurement of goods and services in line with the applicable legislation. Manage the procurement of goods and services as per the approved procurement plan. Ensure all procurement activities within SCM are as per agreed lead times. Ensure that procured materials/services comply with the minimum quality and technical standards. Collaborate with City Power’s BEE department to meet City Power’s BEE expenditure and meet the specific goal requirements as per PPR2022. Liaise with end user departments to ensure that contracts are renewed timeously for all commodities/services. Partner with suppliers in implementing collaborative programs and innovative strategies to optimize the total cost of ownership of all materials. Ensure that the procurement processes are compliant and internal controls are adhered to in line with City Power’s SCM Policy and SCM Standard Operating Procedures. Resolve AGSA and IA findings. Prepare management reports pertaining to acquisition of goods and services. Partner with relevant stakeholders within the business. Review policies, procedures and templates used in the department.
