CITY POWER WORKPLACE 
 
City Power Johannesburg SOC Limited is a municipal entity wholly owned by the City of Johannesburg. City Power commenced operations on 01 January 2001 and is responsible for electricity distribution within its area of supply in the City of Johannesburg. The Company provides services to a mix of approximately 3.2 million people. 
 
APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION: 
Designation - ICT Service Desk Agent (x2) 
Group - Enterprise Support 
Department - ICT 
Reporting to - ICT Service Desk Supervisor 
 
Purpose
To professionally respond to user calls and queries, log queries and provide first line end user support. 
 
 
Key responsibilities 
 Logging and closing of all business related user requirements 
 Verifying and keeping user details up to date in the Microsoft Active Directory; 
 Performing trouble-shooting on all end-user queries when necessary; 
 Addressing all calls/queries that may be resolved while the end-user is on the line or via remote access; 
 Keeping end-users updated regarding their open calls/queries; 
 Following City Power processes that are aligned with ITIL framework; 
 User engagement through the telephone; 
 Monitor Network and Application availability from dashboards provided and report any faults to the relevant second line support staff

Minimum qualifications 
 Matric or equivalent 
 Customer services certificate 
 ITIL Foundation certification 
 
Related Minimum Experience 
 1 to 2 years Contact centre experience.
