CITY OF TSHWANE METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY
REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FROM PROSPECTIVE CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS TO COMPLETE LEARNERSHIPS/ TRAINING CONTRACTS FOR A THREE-YEAR PERIOD COMMENCING JANUARY 2020 (13 POSITIONS)
The City of Tshwane (the City) wishes to invite suitably qualified accounting students to join its Chartered Accountants Training Programme (CATP).
QUALIFYING CRITERIA
Must have completed or be in the final year of completing a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA)
Must be a South African citizen
Must have no criminal record and/or clear ITC
Must be goal-driven and an inherent team player
Must be passionate about public service

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS TO BE PERFORMED FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY
The Chartered Accountant (CA) trainee (the trainee) will be expected to perform tasks relevant to obtaining the necessary competencies to qualify as a CA by the end of the three-year training period.
The trainee will gain exposure to the following City divisions during the training period:
Financial Reporting and Assets Management
Budget
Internal Audit
Revenue Management
Treasury
Procurement and Supply Chain Management
REMUNERATION
The annual basic salary will be in the range of R229 020,00 – R285 756.00.
Individuals who meet the qualifying criteria must complete and submit a CATP application form (available on www.tshwane.gov.za – click on "Services" link and then "Job Forums") or request via email to CATP@tshwane.gov.za, together with a curriculum vitae and certified copies of their identity documents, relevant degrees, CTA certificates or proof that they are registered to write the CTA examinations in 2019 to CATP@tshwane.gov.za.
