1. Department: Housing
Branch: Public Housing Stock Management
Designation: Administrative/Project Officer
Salary Range: R20 908.74 pm (basic salary excluding benefits)
Appointment Requirements: • Grade 12/NQF level 4; and • 1 - 3 years' experience in Building Management.
Primary Function: Manage the building, including relationships tenants, rental collections, lease of units, management of service providers, repairs and maintenance as well as security services in the building.
Key Performance Areas: Administer the vacancy levels in, the building. Facilitate the rental collection process. Ensure that repairs and maintenance are done efficiently and cost—effectively. Review performance of the relevant service providers. Administer complaints to ensure a responsive management system. Administer tenant take-on and exit/termination. Administer social climate for a tranquil social environment in public housing projects. Customer services management and tenant liaison.

Appointment Requirements: • Grade 12/NQF Level 4 plus a Higher Certificate in Humanities or other relevant field/NQF level 5 qualification is required; • 3 years' experience in Human Resources/Transformation and EE/Training and Development environment in a large organization, of which 1 year being in an EE environment; and • Must have a valid driver's license code 8.
Primary Function: To ensure that Emergency Management Services (EMS) transformation processes are conducted in such a way that creates as organization that is well positioned to achieve a customer focused organization. This will also be achieved through the strategic implementation of the Equity Act in line with the City's targets and plans.

Appointment Requirements:
• Postgraduate degree in the field of Public Administration/Project Management/Social or Political Sciences (NQF level 8);
• Minimum of 3 years management experience of which at least another 5 years; experience within a research/policy development or public sector environment;
• Requires a level of experience in working in the field of research, analysis, stakeholder management and often monitoring and evaluation;
• Working with quantitative and qualitative information;
• Advanced computer literacy (MS Office);
• Ability to operate Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology and systems;
• Work flexi-time/overtime when required; and

Primary Function: Play a key role in providing leadership, management support and overseeing strategic projects and the implementation of the Joburg City Safety Strategy (JCSS) in terms of projects, research and policy development, communication and stakeholder engagement and facilitation. The incumbent will also be expected to attend meeting and establish good working relationships with nominated representatives from a range of key role-players involved in the implementation of the JCSS to ensure that the agencies provide the requisite information on a regular basis.
Key Performance Areas: Manage and facilitate projects in order to comply with all legislative requirements throughout the duration of such projects and ensure minimum disruptions. Monitor and evaluate key JCSP projects to ensure that the programs and initiatives comply with standards determined prior to the roll out of the event. Provide guidance and support in terms of the planning relating to policy documents, business plans, sector plans and the IDP. Manage staff within the cluster in order that staff comply with agreed upon policies and Conditions of Service with the objective of ensuring superior service delivery standards. Manage the assets of the Unit. Deal with all administrative matters that involve the Unit. Organise and facilitate key stakeholder interactions. Liaise and network with various institutions and stakeholders to keep abreast of the urban safety issues and latest technology and developments in this field and secure possible funding for projects.

Appointment Requirements:
• Bachelor/B Tech degree in Fire Technology (NQF level 7);
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in operations of which 5 years should be at a Management level (Deputy Director within EMS);
• Knowledge of Labour legislation, Council Policies and Procedures and Budgeting;
• Intermediate Computer literacy and report writing;
• Familiar with Emergency Management Services and Safety prescripts, Municipality by laws, Municipality Finance Management Act and Public Finance Management Act and must have undergone relevant leadership programs;
• Knowledge of policy analysis, monitoring, evaluation and reporting, IDP and business planning;
• Must have a valid Code EC driver's license; and
• Good interpersonal skills in dealing with all stakeholders.
Primary Function: To take overall charge of the entire operation of the City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services and Reactive Incident Management within the risk profile of Johannesburg, in order to assure that performance in sin line with the approved and acceptable service delivery standards, norms and standards and legislative fulfilment.
Key Performance Areas: Oversee and conduct the strategic planning processes. Advise and assist the executive head on Operation policy standards for Ems by taking part in policy and standards generating initiatives in order to keep the department abreast with technological and policy development. Ensure reactive incident Management by assigning all managers and staff in operations and allocating the necessary resources to Deputy Directors in order to render Emergency Incident Management according to approved and acceptable service delivery standards. Oversee and conduct Human Resources, Training and discipline matters in the operations units. Manage large scale incidents by physical responding to scenes and liaising with Pro-Active service. Develop a consultative strategy by communicating with community and in order to enhance the application of Batho Pele principle. Plan the operational budget by identifying operational needs and costs, developing budgetary control measures and liaising with the Deputy Director and the Finance Directorate on Budgetary activities in order to ensure fiscal discipline and viability. Process management responsibility.
