Appointment Requirements: 
• Matric plus National Diploma in Administration (NQF level 6);

Primary Function: Provide community liaison services to various stakeholders engaging with the Speaker Office in all Regions, administrative support through coordination of project requirements, secretarial and other general administrative support to the Projects unit, in order to ensure effective and efficient deliver of projects within Private office of the Speaker.

• 5 - 7 years’ working experience in conducting research; 
• Knowledge of relevant legislative and policy framework, such and MFMA, PFMA, MSA, etc. 
• Knowledge of research methodology, software and people management 
 
Primary Function: To undertake research, monitor and track implementation of strategy for the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Legislature, which involve collection and interpretation of strategic information, strategic research and analysis; formulation and communication of strategies to the Speaker of Council and Political Office Bearers. Ensure relevant research is undertaken to enhance strategy implementation tracking, assessment and reporting is carried out. Provide guidance, develop and incorporate research and strategies of the Legislature. 
 
Key Performance Areas: Provide research and analytical support to Office of the Speaker in line with the oversight and scrutiny mandate. Undertake research to understand and respond to the core mandate of Legislature, challenges and opportunities with the purpose of enhancing the Legislature’s long-terns strategic direction. Increase organizational awareness, understanding and responsiveness to changing challenges and opportunities and ensures the Legislatures strategies remain relevant and informed by evidence-based research.

• 5 years’ experience in community facilitation, planning within a large organization in a management level either in the public or private sector. 
• Management and project management; 
• Knowledge of policy framework; 
• Sound knowledge of strategy formulation and strategic planning. 
 
Primary Function: Coordinate and manage community engagement process program in the City of Johannesburg, ensuring effective and efficient participatory engagement to promote community action and participation to all the processes undertaken by Legislature through Councillors at the Ward level. 
 
Key Performance Areas. Business planning, performance management and policy development. Project management and approval. Monitoring and evaluation. Shareholder management. Adherence to legislation, quality control, development of programme designs and Standard Operating Procedures. Manage all resources of the sub unit. 
 
Leading Competencies: Professionalism and Political experience (i.e. experience in political offices) 
 
Core Competencies: Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel), good communication, good command of English Language, coordinating skills. Should be able to perform functions requiring mobility (i.e. serving documentation between departments).

Design quantitative and/or qualitative data collection and analytical methods and tools to support evaluation design and implementation. Assist with data quality audits and site visits to assess data quality and activity performance. Program monitoring and evaluation coordination. Establish an inquisitive learning culture within the Office of the Speaker through leading the capacity building efforts.
