Appointment Requirements:
Grade 12/NQF level 4 plus Higher Education Certificate: Auxiliary Nursing/NQF level 4;
1 year post training as Enrolled Nursing Assistant;
Current SANC registration as an Auxiliary Nurse under Regulations (R2176);
Computer literacy;
Training Certificate: HIV Testing and Counselling;
Knowledge of basic nursing care, elementary nutrition, elementary anatomy and physiology, principles of first aid and comprehensive health care;
Interpersonal relationship and basic counselling skills and appropriate basic psychomotor skills.
Primary Function: Applies procedural nursing sequences in the management of comprehensive primary health care services and participates in community focused awareness initiatives, providing support, information distribution and demonstrations to ensure that the health objectives in terms of all relevant national policies and standard guidelines are met.

Provide HIV Counselling and Testing Services. Provide basic total nursing care to clients, patients and families within the ambit of his/her prescribed scope of practice and ethical and legal framework. Contribute to effective data recording and control. Participate in the delivery of awareness and educational programmes on clinical approaches to safe and healthy living to the community. Conduct support groups and adherence clubs for patients on chronic medications. Provide support to professional staff/clinicians in respect of specific applications associated with the provision of treatment for communicable and non-communicable diseases. Implement health promotion activities for specific health programmes e.g. immunization, chronic diseases, oral health etc. Conduct specific and administrative processes and procedures.

Actively participate in the identification, design and delivery of health awareness campaigns at clinic and community level. Conduct specific administrative processes and procedures. Implement the activities and procedures in relation to the rendering of comprehensive health care services at Primary Health Care Facility level and in accordance with the MFMA and other relevant legal framework. Initiate, facilitate and maintain community and intersectoral collaboration at clinic/regional level. FIXED-TERM CONTRACT POSITION

Appointment Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field.

Proven track record of providing strategic support to an executive at a similar level.
Experience in supervising multiple, diverse service functions simultaneously with a strong supervisory and team leadership skill.
Primary Function: To direct and lead the effective functioning of the support function to the Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) Leader of Executive Business by providing high level strategic (and political) advice and counsel to the MMC by coordinating the implementation of the executive policy, developing, and managing the implementation of communications strategy (action plans) and managing key personnel in order to ensure the advancement of the MMC’s political programmes and strategy.
Key Performance Areas: To manage and provide strategic (political) policy support and advice to the MMC. To enable and manage the implementation of the Executive Mayor’s Communication Strategy i.r.o the MMC’s functions. Directs and controls the outcomes associated with utilization, productivity and performance of personnel within the MMC support function. Plan, monitor and control function’s annual operating and capital budget of that spending is in line- with the Municipal requirements and/or Municipal Financial Management Act (MFMA). Manage, direct and drive processes and policy that supports the effective and efficient operation of key functional areas in the support function of the MMC. Manage and lead the work of staff in the Office of the MMC in their execution of the government blueprint, as determined by the MMC. Direct and manage the execution of project and assignment as determined by the MMC.
Leading Competencies: Ability to work with various levels of personnel in a fast-paced environment. Experience compiling and managing budget. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
