This Vacancy is open to External Applicants AND Employees of the City of Johannesburg 
 
1. Department: Housing 
Branch: Public Housing Programme Support 
Designation: Executive Secretary 
Salary Range: R22 993.05pm (basic salary excluding benefits) 
 
Appointment Requirements: 
 Grade 12 or equivalent. (NQF level 4). 
 Diploma in Secretarial and Office Administration or Public Relations (NQF level 6). 
 1 – 3 years’ experience of administrative support and secretarial duties with senior level. 
 Basic knowledge of local Government 
 Computer literacy; Good communication (written and verbal); coordinating and networking skills required. 
 
Primary Function: To plan, organise and execute all secretarial duties attached to Director: Programme Support, effectively and efficiently. To co-ordinate activities and requirements associated with the director’s office through the application of administrate and secretarial procedures and execution of sequences associated with the communication, planning, prioritization and organisation of critical, confidential and important appointments, functions and meetings. 
 
Key Performance Areas: Co-ordinates procedural requirements associated with personnel development initiatives. Administration and secretarial support. Provide administrative support in relation to the Unit and Training Committee meetings proceedings. 
 
Leading Competencies: Collaborative/Teamwork & Accountability. 
 
Core Competencies: Customer and Service Delivery Management (Batho Pele) Ethics; Integrity and Professionalism; Impact and Influence; Confidentiality and ability to function under pressure.
