SHORT TERM CONTRACT EMPLOYMENT
 
The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), Group Corporate & Shared Services Department has the following short-term contract opportunities for a period NOT exceeding six (6) months. 

 
The details are as follows: 
 
1. Department: Group Corporate & Shared Services 
Branch: Group SHELA & FCM 
Designation: Professional Nurse 
Salary: R28 840.06 pm (all-inclusive cost to company) 
 
Appointment Requirements 
 4 Year Comprehensive Nursing Diploma; 
 Registration as a professional with the South African Nursing Council; and 
 1 - 3 years’ clinical nursing experience. 
 
Primary Function: Conducting general nursing duties including but not limited to Departments, Regions and MEs. Conducting and control the activities, procedures and outcomes associated with implementation of Occupational Health Unit. Conducting of COVID 19 testing, screening, and vaccination. 
 

Key Performance Areas: Consult and provide information and treatment to employees as per Occupational Health Act, Procedures and Protocols including the HIV and AIDS policies. Conduct Education and Training programme on Occupational Health Standards, HIV and AIDS programme and prevention and promotion of health to employees within the Departments, Regions and Municipal Owned entities. Coordinate specific administrative and reporting requirements associated with operational key performance and result indicators. Conducting Health education and awareness. 
 
Leading Competencies: Occupational Health Act; HIV and AIDS policies. 
 
Core Competencies: Be able to tolerate stress; Counselling and Listening skills; Maintain Confidentiality; Be able to work independently.
