SHORT TERM CONTRACT EMPLOYMENT - (STC)
 

The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), Group Governance Department has the following short-term contract opportunity for a period NOT exceeding twelve (12) months. 
 
 
The details are as follows: 
 
1. DepartmentGroup Governance 
Branch: Group Committee Support 
Designation: Administrative Assistant 
Salary Range: R 15 130.73 pm (all-inclusive cost to company) 
 
Appointment Requirements: 
• Matric/Grade 12/N3 NQF or an appropriate level of Secondary Education; 
• Computer Literacy - MS Office Applications; and 
• 1-3 years’ with relevant Secretarial/Administrative experience. 
 
Primary Function: Performs tasks/activities associated with coordinating the logistical and procedural requirements for Group Committee Meetings, provision of secretarial support through the application of laid down meeting procedures, accessing and making available information, translating documents and performing related administrative duties. Works closely with senior management in order to agree on the agenda, finalise reports required, communicate in a timely and efficient manner to stakeholders and address any and/or all challenges as they arise in order to have efficient meetings that translate to appropriate responsibility and accountability of performance for the meeting. 
 
 
Key Performance Areas: Coordinates specific logistical and procedural requirements associated with Group Committee Support meetings. Provides secretarial support to various Group Committee Sittings within the City of Johannesburg. Performs administrative activities associated with preparation of documents and correspondence for circulation. 
 
Leading Competencies: Basic Knowledge of Administrative Support concepts and functions. Knowledge of HR Training Processes.
 
Core Competencies: Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel), Good Communication and Coordinating skills.
