• Bachelor’s Degree in Labour Relations Management or Human Resources Management (NQF level 7); 
• At least 6 - 8 years‘ experience in Management in the Labour Relations field; 
• Proven track record in Labour Relations management and litigation; 
• Knowledge of labour legislation, collective agreements and requisite policies; and 
• Valid driver’s licence. 
 
Primary Function:
Provide strategic expert Labour Relations oversight, advisory, advocacy, counsel and support, ensuring consistency and quality of collective agreements, labour policies and procedures. Work with a team of Operational Managers, Labour Relations and Human Resources Professionals and Line Managers to address employee relation issues, providing advice and direction, including providing counsel and support to managers in addressing employee grievances. Provide guidance to leadership and line management in relation to progressive legislative compliance, grievance management, discipline; being responsible for dispute resolution, including meetings, joint conferences, mediation and arbitration. Represent the City in relevant fora, provide strategic generalist support on Labour Relations and Human Resources support to the client group as well as acting as a change management leader. • Manage activities relating to compliance and support according to the Department’s policies and guidelines so that they are done in a cost-effective and efficient manner; 
• Manage, facilitate/prepare and control procedures associated with grievance and enquiries/disciplinary and appeal hearings on behalf of the Municipality; 
• Facilitate/prepare for and/or represent the Municipality in handling disputes at their SALGBC, CCMA or Independent dispute resolution bodies on its behalf;

Primary Function:
Manage and oversee a variety of duties involved in accounting. Provide support to the Director: Finance in managing duties in Accounting, Expenditure and Budgets of the Group Finance Department. Manage the key performance and results indicators associated with each Key Performance Area so that their financial position is reported accurately, the finance section runs efficiently and effectively and the Group Finance Units conform to the requirements of the MFMA and the City’s financial strategies and policies. Manage and support the Accounting, Expenditure and Budgets of Directorates within the Department, such as Management Support (incl. the GCFO and MMC Finance), Group Strategic Supply Chain Management, Property Branch, Revenue Shared Services Centre, Core Accounting, Group Accounting and Treasury.
