Department: Office of the City Manager
Branch: Group Forensic and Investigation Services (GFIS)
Deputy Director: Information Management
Salary: R44 397.73 pm (basic salary excluding benefits)
 
Educational requirements and experience:• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and/or Forensic Investigation or Policing or Criminal Justice / NQF level 7 • IT background (software and information systems management) will be an added advantage • Qualification in Cyber-crime will be an added advantage • Six (6) years’ experience within the Data Management/ or Information Management in a Forensic or Policing environment or Criminal Justice systems environment • Three (3) years’ experience should be at management level within public service or private sector • Proven success at operating at middle management level, including the management of experienced and professionally qualified staff • Knowledge of forensic investigation processes, control and the identification of systemic weaknesses
 • Knowledge in the Criminal Justice System (CJS) and data mining/information management systems within the CJS environment • Knowledge in intelligence, profiling, financial and asset tracking and notebook analysis • ECISA, CISAP, CISM, CRISC, SANS or any other security certificate is a plus • Ability to integrate investigation with the risk management processes • Knowledge of data analytics and e-forensics • Translation of data into accessible reports for diverse audiences • Presentation and reporting effectively • Understanding of legal implications of policies • Quality assurance and human resource procedures and regulations.
  
Job description:The incumbent will be responsible for profiling, data imaging, financial and asset tracking, notebook analysis and liaison on section 208 matters. Monitor and report on progress thereof on all the matters related to information management. Responsible for the development and effective implementation, monitoring strategies, policies and procedures in relations to information management.

Department: Public Safety: JMPD - Branch: Operations
Director: Regional Operations
Salary: R55 042.66 pm (basic salary excluding benefits)
 
Educational requirements and experience:• Bachelor’s Degree in Policing or Advanced Diploma in the related field (NQF level 7) plus a Metro Police Diploma • At least ten (10) years’ experience in a policing environment in a Senior Management position • Must have no criminal record • Must have a security clearance.
 
Job description:Lead, manage and coordinate JMPD operations within the City with regards to the provision of crime prevention and traffic management by developing and implementing applicable service delivery strategies and programmes.

FIXED-TERM PERFORMANCE-BASED CONTRACT POSITIONS (Level 2)
 
Note the following in terms of all of the below mentioned positions:These responsibilities are not exhaustive. Appointment in these positions will be subject to the signing of an employment contract and performance agreement, as well as disclosure of financial interests. The applicant needs to comply with the MFMA unit standards as prescribed by Regulation 493 of 15 June 2007 as published in Government Gazette 29967 of 15 June 2007. The applicant shall undergo a competency assessment in terms of Annexure A (competency framework for Senior Managers) Notice 21 published in Government Gazette of 17 January 2014. The applicant shall undergo security vetting. The relevant MFMA Unit Standards for the below positions are preferred, however a grace period of eighteen (18) months will be provided to obtain the Unit Standards as per Publication in the Government Gazette No 40593, Government Notice 91 of 03 February 2017 by The Minister of Finance.

To provide leadership and direction in the planning and execution of the functions pertaining to Municipal International and Inter-Governmental Relations, and in so doing profile/position Johannesburg as a World Cass African City. Primary function:Lead the development of appropriate policies and strategies based on the diversity of local needs and the reduction of inequalities. Guide the development and implementation of human and social development interventions through targeted focus poverty reduction, food security, community self-sustainable programme, social inclusivity, literacy and skills programmes. Ensure the provision of education programmes on social issues to support the identified interventions. Ensure that appropriate strategies, business plans, policies and procedures are developed, approved, communicated to the relevant stakeholders and implemented so that Social Development strategic imperatives of the City are met. Build relationships with engagement (within the City) and other stakeholders (including national, provincial government and other local authorities) so that an understanding is created of their requirements and these are incorporated into the policy and strategic planning process of the Department. Monitor the execution and implementation of Social Development strategies, business plans and policies across the City to ensure alignment to and delivery of the City’s strategic objectives for the Department. Ensure compliance to National Legislation through reviewing, drafting, recommending and implementing relevant by-laws so that effective regulatory mechanisms are in place for Social Development within the City.
