Minimum Requirements:
· N6 (Electrical Engineering), Qualified Electrician
· Valid Code C1 Driver's Licence
· 2 years' experience in similar environment with knowledge of Electrical Distribution Networks
 
Core Responsibilities:
· Plan and organise all the duties of the drawing office
· Update existing and new development network plans to ensure constant availability of critical data and reference
· Attend to queries and applications for Way Leaves from various service providers
· Determine costs for service connections infrastructure greater than 100A including upgrades, downgrades, and the relocation of existing services
· Inspect the work quality and progress to ensure compliance to standard operating policies and procedures
· Allocate work orders to contractors, perform administrative duties and investigate availability of material for the work to be executed
· Comply with legislation and organisational policies to ensure effective implementation of Council resolutions with regards to risk and minimise the issues of non-compliance
· Comply with budget cost, financial regulations, minimize expenditure and prevent financial loses
· Ensure compliance with the Batho Pele principles, maintain good customer relations and efficient and productive service delivery
· Provide effective and efficient management to maintain a high level of productivity

Core Responsibilities:
· Manage and control job cards in the Computerised Maintenance Management System
· Distribute maintenance activity cards, collect back and ensure accuracy and integrity of returned job cards
· Identify follow up maintenance/ repair and refurbishment work required
· Capture, update and manage asset register equipment detailed information
· Identify and resolve queries and problems timeously and report with regard to performance in areas of accountability
· Provide feedback on governance, risk and compliance practices and escalate unresolved matters on appropriate channels for investigation and resolution
· Ensure financial administration delivery process comply with internal control and governance standards and report any deviations
· Provide authoritative, specialist expertise and advice to internal and external customers with regard to Maintenance Planning and Scheduling in the Computerised Maintenance Management System

Minimum Requirements:
  • N4 Electrical
  • Qualified Trade Tested Electrician
  • Wiremen’s Licence (3 phase tester)
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • 1 year experience in similar environment
 
Core Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that City Energy revenue is protected, installed meters are operating and protected as designed
  • Manage small revenue-based capital budget allocations of the specific area of responsibility
  • Execute Governance and Risk Management, Council policies and municipal by-laws to ensure effective revenue protection and legal compliance
  • Investigate and verify the integrity of the meter installation where there’s complaints pertaining to accounts and electrical information
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify possible electricity meter problems and rectify them
  • Investigate 90-day non-purchase or low purchase on prepayment meter’s process and credit direct or CT-CT/VT driven meter with no consumption and low consumption to verify tampering and bypassing
  • Apply specialist knowledge in the field of electricity 3 phase and single-phase metering to ensure that CoE’s metering maintains a high standard of accuracy
  • Ensure that health and safety is complied with as per OHS Act regulations
  • Adhere to specified standards, policies and SOPs to prevent and reduce wastage on financial resources and escalate associated risks
  • Comply with legislation and organisational policy to effectively contribute towards meeting organisational objectives
  • Ensure compliance with the Batho Pele principles, maintain good customer relations and efficient and productive service delivery
  • Provide effective and efficient management to maintain a high level of productivity

  • Supervise and assist with the collection of material from the main store
  • Inspect all tools and equipment issued and received for breakages or failures
  • Obtain quotations for the repairs and replacement of tools and equipment
  • Ensure adequate stock is available for electrical repairs
  • Execute administrative and general duties to promote productivity and service delivery
  • Draw up tender specifications for required equipment, tools and services
  • Ensure that financial administration processes comply with internal control and governance standard
