Minimum Requirements:

Core Responsibilities:
- Manage the maintenance and repairs of two-way radios, radio repeaters and security alarm transmitters.
- Control and maintain electronic test equipment.
- Set standards for two- way radios and electronic equipment.
- Keep records of and license two-way radios and repeaters to comply with council policy.
- Procedure and control spares for two-way radios and related equipment to ensure availability and accountability.
- Trace interference on radio communication system and investigate all radio complaints to ensure functional communication network.
- Manage repairs and maintenance of call taking and despatching centre radio and CCTV equipment.
- Provide Human Resource Services within this sub-section for skills development as required by Legislation.

Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate or NQF level 4 - 5 in Office Administration, Public Administration or related field
- 2 years' experience in an administrative role or similar operational environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative, recordkeeping, and frontline support to Parks and Cemeteries depot
- Record staff attendance, prepare overtime schedules, and manage crew allocation register
- Capture and verify overtime and standby requests based on approved duty roster
- File timesheets and related forms for audit readiness
- Issue and record the use of depot tools and equipment and track their conditions
- Maintain a register of issued PPE, hand tools, and equipment at the depot
- Organise and file forms such as job cards, cemetery records, incident logs
- Prepare and track requisitions for depot supplies and ensure correct delivery of ordered goods
- Ensure that operational needs are met timeously, and consumables are available
- Receive visitors, answer questions from public, and escalate service complaints where necessary
- Ensure orderly site usage and prevent double-bookings or unauthorized access
- Prepare and issue booking confirmations or references
- Maintain a depot diary or document movement register
- Collect and submit labour-related documents like leave, IOD forms, and warnings
- Report staff injuries or HR cases to section office

· B.Sc./ B. Eng/ B. Tech in Civil Engineering
· Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Engineer or Pr. Technologist
· Driver's licence
· 5 years relevant experience
Core Responsibilities:
· Manage key performance areas and result indicators associated with the rehabilitation and maintenance of road infrastructure, storm-water drainage and the adequacy of traffic signage and road markings.
· Identify technical / non-technical skills gap within your area of accountability and complete developmental plans for existing personnel and monitor the adequacy of current training interventions.
· Implement Human Resources policies and procedures to control and regulate workplace conflict and institute corrective measures.
· Prepare capital and operating estimates and control expenditure against the approved budget allocations.
· Manage procurement processes and ensure that it comply with the Supply Chain Management processes.
· Manage and control plant, equipment as well as materials.
· Prepare/ approve drawings, designs and costs estimate of work to be done and monitor the implementation thereafter.
· Direct and control professional, technical and operational outcomes associated with the functions.
· Compile maintenance programs and reports
The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.
