Minimum Requirements:
- B Degree in Horticulture, Environmental Management or related field
- Minimum 10 years' progressive experience in public sector management, with at least 5 years' experience in a senior leadership role related to a service delivery environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic capability and leadership support by developing and implementing key strategic documents in the area of specialisation
- Analyse and make recommendations and provide guidance in improving specialist systems, policies and practices
- Develop and manage operational maintenance procedures and processes
- Manage the planning and projecting of future operational requirements of the total Operational Division
- Develop long and short-term goals for the Division
- Develop and maintain Divisional Governance and Risk Management strategies to ensure all risks are managed and minimized within the Division
- Manage and prepare monthly and quarterly reports in terms of set standards, requirements, legislation and regulations
- Manage and consolidate the preparation and submission of annual operational budgets for the Division
- Develop methods to measure operational performance
- Develop a customer service orientation in the Division and manage delivery on service level agreements
- Ensure effective people management of sub-ordinates and mentor and coach them accordingly
- Integrate and share policies, practices and system knowledge attained through formal and informal learning opportunities

Minimum Requirements:
- 3 Year relevant Diploma / Equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification in a similar environment
- A Records Management / Archiving Certificate
- 1 - 3 years' experience in a records management environment
Core Responsibilities:
- To manage the development of an appropriately structured FILE PLAN for the CoE that makes provision for the classification; archiving; retrieval and/or disposal of records in compliance with the National Archives & Records Services of South Africa Act 43, 1996, as amended
- To ensure that all electronic records are managed according to the requirements of the National Archives and Records Services and good governance using the EDRMS (electronic document & records management system).
- To render support to the Information Officer and / or Deputy Information Officers to ensure a City-wide compliance with the provisions of both the PAIA (Promotion of Access to Information) Act and PoPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act), by collaborations with DIOs to raise awareness and education and, coordinate training workshops on PAIA & PoPIA across the City.
- Monitoring / ensuring that all Departments and entities of the City comply with the PoPIA conditions for lawful processing of personal information and ensuring that all Departments and its entities comply with security safeguards conditions for the lawful processing of personal information.
- Monitoring / ensuring that all departments and entities of the City comply with the PAIA for the lawful processing of requests for information and ensuring that all Departments.
- Develop, manage, implement and monitor organisation-wide records management activities, focusing on key strategies and implementation thereof to meet organisational objectives and compliance with required set standards.
- To draft and implement Records Management Policy documents to ensure the efficient and effective City-wide management of records.
- To facilitate the progressive capacitation of CoE Department with regards to records management skills and techniques.
- Develop, manage, implement and monitor organisation-wide records management activities, focusing on key strategies and implementation thereof to meet the organisations objectives
- Ensure that appropriate financial management processes are adhered to, to ensure that appropriate financial compliance imperatives are followed

The City of Ekurhuleni hereby invites applications from suitable candidates to serve on the Advisory Panel towards the establishment the New Higher Education Institution in Ekurhuleni Advisory Panel.
- Requirements: Potential candidates must be suited to serve on the Panel by virtue of their qualifications, expertise, and experience in the fields of Education, Business, Information and Communication Technology, Youth Development, and Community Activism. Applicants must in addition possess no less than 5 years’ solid experience in any of the areas enlisted. A curriculum vitae and copies of qualifications must be submitted with applications.
