Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • 3 years' experience in similar environment

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that operational processes are executed
  • Assist with the implementation of engineering activities for the department in particular reservoirs, towers and pumpstations.
  • Assist in the maintenance of departmental technical systems and technology for reservoirs, towers and pumpstations.
  • Take accountability for delivery of contracted work output within agreed parameters of SOPs, quality standards and service targets
  • Identify and resolve problems timeously, apply discretion in line with provided guidelines and escalate unresolved problems
  • Ensure financial administration delivery process comply with control and governance standards and report on any deviations
  • Ensure high level of customer satisfaction through provision of effective service delivery
  • Maintain professional interaction and ethical dealings with stakeholders at all times

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Trade Test (Building)
  • Valid C1 Driver's license with PrDP
  • Physical fit to perform work
  • 3 years' experience in building environment

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that structures, manholes and paving are constructed or repaired as per required standards
  • Restore, clean or paint existing brick, concrete and paving structures
  • Lay bricks and other types of building blocks to construct and repair buildings and walks aligned in line with industry standards.
  • Ensure that all plant, machinery and equipment are kept in good and working order at all times
  • Effectively utilise allocated resources in order to perform contracted work outputs and report on and escalate any shortfalls
  • Plan and organise own work tasks and routine within area of accountability
  • Cut and trim bricks using allocated machinery and other allocated hand tools
  • Complete all specified work orders within time limits allocated
  • Apply good financial processes and accountability
  • Efficiently and effectively attend to the customers complaints
  • Provide effective and efficient management and apply a good work ethics
