Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 or NQF4
- 1 year work experience in similar environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Receive and handle incoming calls on the emergency switch board and radio communication.
- Operation and utilization of computer aided dispatch system that incorporates voice, electronic and data means
- Use standard emergency communication operational procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic logs of all emergency and non-emergency calls and departmental fleet and personnel movement
- Operate and monitor all non-verbal communications systems, including linked direct alarm systems and surveillance systems within the centre in a professional and efficient manner.
- Perform critical incident management operational level task
- Perform emergency communication related administrative duties
- Ensure that completed work adhere to governance and legislative requirements
- Adhere to specified standards, policies and SOPs to prevent and reduce wastage on financial resources
- Support the instituting of Customer Service Orientation
- Support the instituting of people and productivity management
