SENIOR ADMINISTRATION OFFICER – COUNCIL SUPPORT 
[Task Grade 11: Salary Scale R 265, 439.00 – R 344, 553.00 per annum plus benefits] 
 
Requirements: 
 Matric, 
 Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Public Administration or Municipal Administration or relevant qualification in Public Administration at NQF Level 6. 
 At least 3 – 5 years relevant experience. 
 Proof of Computer literacy 
 
 
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
 Provides secretarial support to various Committee and sub-committee sittings within the municipality. 
 Performs administrative activities associated with taking of minutes, preparation of agenda, notifications, and other relevant documents and correspondence for circulation. 
 To ensure quality of reports and minutes of the council are maintained at acceptable required standards 
 To oversee communication with the office Bearers/ HODs for the preparation of agenda and other council businesses. 
 Ensure records management of all documentation related to the council support. 
 Provide advice and ensure compliance on the rules and procedures of the Council 
 Compile and update resolution register, standing resolution register and all other registers. 
 Execution of resolution, keep resolution register and see to it that the necessary follow up of resolutions is done. 
 Monitor the outcomes and the performance of personnel within Council Support. 
 
 
 
 

METER READER X 2 
(INXUBA YETHEMBA BILLING SERVICES - MIDDELBURG) 
[Task Grade 04: Salary Scale R106, 922.00 – R 135, 533.00 per annum plus benefits] 
Requirements: 
 Grade 12 
 At least 12 – 18 months experience in meter reading.
 Ability to understand and use electronic meter reading. 
 Proof of residence with an original stamp and signature of respective Ward Councillor or Headman. 

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
 Read all meters accurately and propose best meter reading route planning. 
 Close meters after taking readings and clean meter boxes. 
 Clearing the area around meter boxes to ensure meter is accessible. 
 Assist in debt recovery efforts and perform verification of readings. 
 Capture meter reading information onto Venus report and update inaccurate information. 
 Performs clerical functions with recording consumption information.
