SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (TEMP)
LOCATION: GAUTENG
(FIXED TERM CONTRACT – 06 MONTHS)
An opportunity exists at the CHIETA Head Office for Software Developer on a fixed-term contract for 06 months. The position reports to the ICT Manager in the Innovation & Technology Business Unit. Candidates who meet the requirements of the position are invited to apply.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of three-year Diploma or Degree in Software Development/ Computer Science/ Information
• Technology/ Information Systems/ Informatics/ Financial Information Systems or equivalent.
• Minimum of Three (3) years of Systems Development as a Lead Developer
• Knowledge of Web and Mobile Development; .NET Core Framework; ASP.NET, MVC, Web API and Core; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript; jQuery, Angular and React; ORM; Web Services (REST & SOAP), Workflow systems; SQL Server 2012-2019; MySQL 5.6 - 8.0; Database Design
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Perform development/programming activities as assigned by the Manager.
• Provide programming/developing/ICT support to all business units.
• Capacitate end-users on the systems used.
• Conduct JAD sessions on project status and proposals.
• Assist in facilitation, coordinating of user gathering requirements.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager in assisting the University of Johannesburg Project Team with development guidelines.
• Meet goals and targets aligned with those of the organization.
• General administrative duties within the ICT Unit such as:
- Ensure that all documentation relating to the ICT Unit activities are filed and stored appropriately.
- Secure appointments with various business units and Service Providers
- Assist with the generation of reports as requested by internal and external stakeholders.
