GROUP REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS MANAGER (PERMANENT)

CEF (SOC) Ltd is involved in the search for appropriate energy solutions to meet the energy needs of South Africa, The Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the sub-Saharan African region, focussing on clean energy options as well as fossil fuels as per the mandate from the Department of Energy. It also manages the operation and development of the oil and gas assets of the South African government including strategic crude oil assets and management. CEF controls entities with commercial and developmental roles, housed in eight operating subsidiaries.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
To provide a holistic Human Resources support function to departments and individual employees at Group CEF, in particular areas of Remuneration, Benefits and Payroll.
Required minimum qualifications and experience:
A relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources
Qualification in Leadership
15 years` relevant experience in HR of which 5 years must be in Remuneration, Benefits and Payroll within the energy sector
Have experience in SAGE 300 people and Grading systems
Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) qualification will be an added advantage
Registration with HR professional bodies (e.g.) SABPP etc
Key Performance Indicators
Coordinate and participate in the Job Grading review to manage the grading of all positions and ensure user consistency across the organization.
Ensure that financial management practices is aligned to the approved policies and procedures and in line with government regulations (SARS, BCEA).
Prepare and provide the Remuneration reports to Group CEF management, Board, HRRN, National Treasury.
Formulate the development, implementation and maintenance of Remuneration and Benefit strategies, policies and systems.
Give support to the Group Corporate Service Executive (GCSE) in providing strategic advice to ensure best practice and compliance.
Establish and maintain the confidentiality required in dealing with payroll-related issues while also ensuring that that service is done with compassion consistent with the company’s core values
Budget and coordinate the basic cost of employment data for budget purposes so that this expense is correctly provided for in the budget.
Report on CEF Group of Companies corporate services performance to relevant stakeholders (DMRE, Treasury, labour etc.)
Administer the organization’s benefits programs (e.g. Provident fund, Medical Aid, Wellness programs, Insurance policies, etc.) and liaise with external funds and employees regarding all employee benefits and establishing personal networks.
Manage the processing of payroll and maintaining the employee database regarding salary and pay

EXECUTIVE OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR (PERMANENT)

CEF controls entities with commercial and developmental roles, housed in eight operating subsidiaries.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will carry out multiple administrative duties, including:
Office management for the Executive- diary management, answering calls, record management, ensure timeous correspondence/response from the CFO’s office to various stakeholders, sourcing of stationery
Administration- processing of invoices, monitoring of the CFO budget
Events management- travel management, catering, sourcing of venues, co-ordination of training for the Finance team
Secretariat- scheduling of meetings, taking minutes of meetings, follow up on action items
Communication- Editing and formatting of finance documents/presentations, drafting and issuing correspondence from Finance
Research- Research on valuable and relevant information to support the Finance team

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
National Diploma in Administration, A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce will be an added advantage
10 years’ experience as an Office Administrator/Manager or Middle Manager in Finance

Must have experience in supporting a senior executive in a fast-paced and demanding work environment; references mandatory

Excellent verbal, presentation and business writing communication skills.

Fully proficient on all Microsoft products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
