​INVITATION FOR SUITABLE CANDIDATES TO SERVE ON THE BOARD OF CENTRAL ENERGY FUND (CEF) SOC LTD 
 
The Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources, Hon, Mr. Gwede Mantashe, MP, hereby invites suitable candidates to be considered for appointment to the Board of the Central Energy Fund (“CEF”) 
 
CEF SOC Limited (“CEF”), is a statutory state own company established in terms of section 1(1) of the Central Energy Fund Act, 1977 (Act No.38 of 1977) (“CEF Act”) and listed as a Schedule 2 of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No.1 of 1999) (“PFMA”) as amended. The main functions of CEF SOC is to contribute to the security of energy supply of South Africa and the Region through exploration, acquisition, development, marketing and strategic partnership. 
 
The interested candidates possessing extensive qualification and/or experience in any one or more of the related disciplines or areas of expertise, particularly candidates with executive level experience, preferably in Petroleum, oil & Gas, Mining, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Economics, Merger & Acquisition, Exploration sectors, IT, Finance, Audit, Risk & Governance, Environmental Management are encourage to submit their applications.
