Job Title: Marketing and Activations Coordinator
Department: Marketing and Communications
Reporting to: Assistant Brand Manager
Salary: R 292 537 (TCTC) per annum
Job purpose:
Supports the Assistant Brand Manager in promoting and activating the brand through
integrated programme plans driven by the marketing strategy of Brand South Africa and in line with key stakeholder projects. Ensures that the administrative processes are followed and reporting are adhered to.
Minimum Requirements:
• Matric and a Diploma in Marketing.
• 3–5 years’ experience in marketing and communications organisations, in an administrative capacity.
• 2 years’ experience in the marketing environment.
Key Performance Areas:
1. Stakeholder mobilisation, activation and marketing support.
• Supports the Assistant Brand Manager in the co-ordination and implementation of branding and marketing events and programmes (internally and externally).
• Provide support in the implementation of brand, marketing, activations and projects set out in the Annual Performance Plan.
2. Planning and Organising.
• Support in the implementation of plans to market and promote Brand South Africa programmes.
• Assist with planning and implementation of marketing and activations programmes.
• Administer financial procedures (requisitions, purchase orders).
• Procure marketing materials in adherence to Supply Chain processes.
• Provide creative input towards Activations planning and support with setup and break down at activations, including branding.
• Support both Marketing and Activations functions.
• Responsible for the updates of the Performance information on Brand South Africa brand base.

• Responsible for the marketing collateral and branding equipment, stock taking and updates. This includes tracking and recording of branding and collateral movements.
• Support in providing branding to cross-functional teams, to ensure Nation Brand visibility at all Brand South Africa events.
3. Stakeholder engagements.
• Assist in reaching out and corresponding with identified strategic marketing & activations partners and other suppliers and stakeholders to participate in Brand
South Africa’s key projects, campaigns and other initiatives.
4. Preparing reports.
• Ability to write reports in line with Brand South Africa’s reporting requirements.
• Tracking of Cost estimates, Requisitions, Purchase Order and supplier invoices.
• Maintenance of branding material, collateral, stock reports, stocktaking and tracking of branding material.
Required Technical Skills, Competencies and Attributes
• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent planning, organising and project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good business writing skills.
• Basic budgeting skills.
• Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders in a competent and confident manner.
• Advanced internet and intranet usage ability.
• Working knowledge of all elements of the marketing and activations function, including market planning and development, events and activations planning and execution, customer and stakeholder relations and managing marketing partners.
• Knowledge of the broad political, legislative and economic arenas- locally and internationally, i.e. awareness as a global citizen.
