Requirements
1. Matric qualification/NCV L4/N3 in automotive/mechanical field or equivalent
2. Knowledge of mechanical/automotive equipment
3. Good administrative skills

5. Computer literacy
6. Good interpersonal and communication skills
7. Independent, innovative, professional, and enthusiastic individual
 
Responsibilities
1. The responsibilities of the post are to assist the Workshop Lecturers with general workshop management.
2. General support services (receiving, storing, issuing and inventory control of all consumables, equipment, gas cylinders and student PPE.)
3. General preventative maintenance and repair of equipment and tools (calibration, record keeping and maintenance schedules)
4. Assist lecturers with workshop management (all ERD, Occupational, Nated Programs)
5. Maintain student safety at work (all ERD, Occupational, Nated programs)
6. Cutting of steel on heavy duty cutting machine
7. General cleaning services within workshops
 
Recommendations
1. TVET sector experience
2. Occupational qualification in Automotive or Engineering filed
3. Multilingualism will be an advantage

EDUCATION SPECIALIST: CIVIL ENGINEERING (PL2)
 
Requirements
• Relevant 3-year post matric / tertiary qualification in an engineering related field of specialization / profession OR minimum of N3 and Trade Test
• 3 years educational experience of which at least two years is in at least one of the relevant subjects/subject area
• Experience in Blended learning, i.e. innovative teaching practices with the use of educational technology
• Ability to teach in English
• Computer training in MS Office
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• A valid driver’s license
 
Responsibilities
• Management of programme related activities across campus, including curriculum support and lecturer development.
• Responsible for the planning and implementation of the academic programme structure through teaching and practical learning.
• Management and support of staff with regards to successful academic delivery within their programme curriculum on campus.
• Responsible for student related matters within their programme on their site of delivery (campus).
• Responsible for the offering and assessment of subjects as allocated according to the academic planning.
• Responsible for the planning and execution of the academic activities as well as practical training that must be incorporated in the programme structure and subject syllabi.
• Responsible for the assessment and moderation of subjects.
• Responsible for specific administrative and campus related tasks.
• General tasks in support of academic and campus related matters.
• Responsible for quality education so that the student receives relevant training according to relevant DHET, community and industry needs.
• WPBL: Participate in Workplace exposure relevant to the programmes
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for lecturing subjects within the Civil Engineering department, which may include
o Construction Planning L2 – L4
o Masonry Theory & Practical L2 – L4
o Plant & Equipment L2 – L3
o Materials L2 – L4
o Construction Supervision L4
 
Recommendations

• Teaching or Training experience in an industrial environment / TVET College would be an added advantage

​LAB ASSISTANT: HOSPITALITY & CATERING SERVICES

 
Requirements
• N4 Hospitality & Catering / Hospitality L4 (NCV) qualification or similar
• Minimum 1 year kitchen experience in industry
• Computer Literacy
• Valid driver’s license
• Good communication skills (both verbal & written)
• Ability to maintain discipline and co-ordinate group cleaning sessions for students
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
 
Responsibilities
• Prepare the training kitchens for practical sessions
• Control and management of equipment and stock
• Practice good housekeeping in the kitchen environment
• Co-responsible for cleaning of the kitchen and general administrative tasks
• Lifting and/or moving of heavy objects/equipment
• Purchasing and management of stock for practical sessions/classes
• Assist the lecturer(s) during practical sessions
• Budget control
 
Recommendations
• N6 Hospitality & Catering qualification or similar
• Ability to lift/move heavy objects/equipment
• Supply chain and procurement process experience
• Experience in working with students in a training environment
• TVET Sector experience
• Multilingualism will be an advantage
