Bojanala Platinum District Municipality (Rustenburg) has a vacancy for a suitably qualified, highly motivated and dynamic person within its District Municipality who will perform the duties of a Director Corporate Support Services on a five year fixed contract.
1. DIRECTORATE: OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL MANAGER
(DIRECTOR: CORPORATE SUPPORT SERVICES)
(A five years performance-based employment contract)
Salary Notch: Minimum (R 1, 055 080.00) per annum
Midpoint (R 1, 241 269.00) per annum
Maximum (R 1, 427 459.00) per annum

3. The successful candidate will be based in the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality and sign an Employment Contract, Performance Agreement, disclose financial interest and be subjected to security vetting.
Requirements: B Degree in Public Administration/ Management Science / Law/ related field equivalent to NQF Level 07 qualification • Minimum of five (05) years’ experience at Middle Management position, must have proven successfully management experience in administration • Ability to communicate and negotiable at all levels of government and with all relevant stakeholders • Ability to prove strategic, visionary and innovative leadership• Computer Literacy including MS Excel, PowerPoint and MS Word• A valid driver’s license and no criminal record
Key Performance Areas: ● Planning budgeting and management of the department responsible for personnel administration and management, Submit regular reports to the Municipal Manager, Oversee organizational structure development and performance management system; Facilitate the formulation and review of municipal by-laws and policies; Development implementation and maintenance of appropriate systems, controls and procedures to ensure fair, efficient, effective and transparent human resources administration, occupational health and safety, Oversee the administration of benefits, Responsible for human resources development, development of workplace skills plan, employment equity plan, employee assistance programme and relations, Manage auxiliary services, registry and support services.
KNOWLEDGE
●Good knowledge and understanding of relevant policy and legislation
●Good understanding of institutional governance systems and performance management
●Must have extensive knowledge of the public office environment
● Understanding of council operations and delegation
● Good Knowledge of corporate support services, including;
Human Capital Management;
Legal services;
Facility Management;
Information Communication Technology; and
Council Support

●Ability to be an innovative and strategic leader
●Strategic leadership and management, people management, operational financial management, financial and performance reporting, risk and change management, program and project management, legislation, change and governance leadership, policy and implementation, supply chain management, audit and assurance.
The Advertisement of the position is in line with the Local Government: Regulations on Appointment and Conditions of Employment of Senior Managers and Managers Directly Accountable to Municipal Managers. The successful candidate will be required to sign an employment contract; performance agreement and also disclose their financial interest. Shortlisted candidates will undergo security vetting, including inter alia competency assessment, the verification of curricular vitae and all qualifications and criminal records. In terms of Municipal Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003- Exemption from Regulations 15 and 18 of Municipal Regulations on Minimum Competency Levels, 2017, In a case of a new appointee, the official must attain the minimum competency level in the unit standards for each competency area within 18 months from the date of appointment.
