The Human Resource Department has a vacancy for a Recruitment Consultant. Applications are invited from people meeting the qualifications and experience requirements set out below.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Provide a specialised recruitment function throughout the organisation to attract and appoint talented people meeting the organisation’s human resources requirements and within prescribes practices and procedures.
CRITICAL PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Efficiently and effectively fill open positions and in support of organisational transformation objectives.
- Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan in accordance with Recruitment Practice for each open position.
- Post vacancies in the recommended recruitment media and use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
- Responsible for screening, filtering CV’s, prepare and submit short list to line in consultation with the HR Business Partner concerned.
- Identify panel and prepare members for interviews; ensuring that interview packs reach the panel on time.
- Do reference checks, verification of documents and arrange psychometric assessment and security interviews for shortlisted candidates.
- Prepare motivation, development interventions that may be required and remuneration proposal (in accordance of Remuneration model) for approval.
- Prepare appointment documents; present offer and Inform line and relevant divisions after acceptance of offer (IT, office accommodation, Employee Orientation etc.)
- Prepare and sent regret letters to applicants.
- Build a database of candidates for future vacancies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B. Degree in HR/Industrial/Organisational Psychology/OD or similar
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years’ experience in a recruitment environment
- Understanding of recruitment related laws including EE Act
KNOWLEDGE & FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:
- Competency Based Interview technique
- Employment Equity Act
- Basic Conditions of Employment Act
- Labour Relations Act
- Good understanding of job analysis and job profiling
- Job evaluation and grading system understanding
- Organisational Design and development
