Kumba Iron Ore
We produce high-grade iron ore, the key component in steel, widely used in construction and manufacturing across the world. Our activities include all aspects – exploration; mining; processing and blending; shipping; marketing and selling. In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Rosebank, Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape.
Job Description:
As our Purchasing Administrator your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Safety, Health, and Environment
- Support specific safety, health, and sustainability opportunities and risks and ensure transactional purchasing activities comply with all Safety, Health, and environmental requirements.
- Perform regular risk assessments and raise any risks/issues immediately.
- Comply with relevant policies and standards, particularly the Contractor Performance Management policy and procedures, to achieve gold-standard contractor safety performance.
General:
- Adhere to the relevant Supply Chain strategy and ensure that critical tasks, performance targets, plans and budgets are adhered to with consideration of risk identification.
- Embrace an agile Supply Chain by being adaptive and flexible to accommodate and focus on emerging and changing business priorities.
- Provide administrative support concerning estimations, purchase orders, warranty claims, etc.
- Support the team in identifying improvement opportunities and providing input into the development of solutions.
- Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and new partners within the supply market.
- Provide administrative support for implementing sustainable value creation strategies, initiatives, and associated business cases, advancing Anglo American's technical, community, sustainability, and financial ambitions.
- Support the team in identifying supplier development needs and opportunities, and provide input into the development of solutions.
- Drive own performance management and personal learning.
- Embrace a Supply Chain team culture of diversity and inclusiveness.
- Support cross-functional team interactions with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure personal and team compliance with internal Anglo American and Supply Chain Governance requirements for all Physical Supply Chain Management activities.
- Ensure personal and team compliance with applicable legislative requirements.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- Office Management/Supply Chain qualification on NQF4
- SA Drivers Licence
Technical Knowledge
- 3-5 years of experience in an administration and compliance environment, including sourcing and contracts policies and standards.
- Understanding roles' operational context and complexity within relevant fields or environments.
- Familiarity with transactional procurement processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of SAP Purchasing systems and their functionalities.
- Working knowledge of technical considerations related to repairs and maintenance.
- Understanding of process compliance monitoring and related controls.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain (SUPPLY CHAIN) systems and their applications within organisational operations.

Job Description:
As our Warehouse Assistant (FTE 6 Months) your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards in your behaviour.
- Uphold the Group's values, standards, and professionalism in your conduct.
- Collaborate effectively with leaders, peers, and relevant stakeholders (including those from other teams when necessary) to achieve business objectives.
- Active participation in SLAMs, HPHs, relevant Risk Assessments and close-out of Safety Actions.
- Help and support in resolving GRV systems queries.
- Execute the schedule to facilitate inventory movement, including RECOs and scrap, by receiving, binning, picking, delivering, and moving as per the requirements.
- Adhere to the applicable SHE Policies, Procedures, and guidelines and perform duties accordingly.
- Report any discrepancies, errors, or damages to inventory and equipment to the line supervisor.
- Organize floor space in adherence to storage design principles, inventory segmentation, engineering specifications, and guidelines to maintain the storage area.
- Use 5s principles to initiate and maintain housekeeping.
- Collate and maintain security (access control) and ensure that proper operational materials handling equipment processes are applied.
- Use FIFO warehousing principles to perform stock rotation and picking.
- Assist in maintaining accurate stock status by performing cycle counting, bin verification, bin labelling, and moving redundant stock to designated areas.
- Compile necessary reports identifying variances and improvement opportunities and assist and support in the process.
- Provide and submit required documents for approval/record, such as reports, logs, and forms.
- Oversee the delivery of materials reserved for the plant area.
- Help maintain an improved OTIF receiving and issuing process.
- Assist the team with complex tasks.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- Preferably a certificate in Supply Chain or Logistics (NQF4)
- SA Drivers Licence
Technical Knowledge
- 1 – 2 years of relevant warehouse knowledge/experience.
- Computer literacy skills (Word / Excel /PowerPoint / SAP).
- Applies a systematic, knowledge-based problem-solving approach and structured methodologies to investigate risks and opportunities and create compelling, value-added technical solutions.
- Project and active resource management.
- Knowledge of discipline-related standards and recommended practices.
