Job Description
An exciting vacancy exists at O.R Tambo International Airport for an experienced Technician Civil Maintenance within the Operations Management division.
 
Key Performance Output
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Senior Technician Civil Maintenance and will be responsible but not limited to the following:
  • Input into maintenance planning, scheduling and execution of the asset.
  • Ensure safe planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
  • Provide input into the development of maintenance planning programme and execution thereof.
  • Utilization of enterprise assets management system.
  • Participate in failure investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain and/or manage material and spares.
  • Consult and give support in commissioning and testing of assets.
  • Ensure implementation of continuous improvement of the equipment/infrastructure.
  • Conduct studies and make recommendations on upgrades/replacements of assets.
  • Adhere to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, policies and practices.
  • Adhere to municipal by laws.
  • Manage Service Level Agreement (maintenance and supply).
  • Conduct continuous Audit and quality control (activities and contractual) and implement remedial action where required.
  • Determine, as part of cross-functional team, evaluation criteria and participate in evaluation and award of bids / tenders received.
  • Prepare, specify, scope of work and technical requirements.
  • Provide input into allocated budget.
  • Identify cost-saving initiatives within area of control.
  • Compile and submit relevant reports.
  • Identify and report possible efficiency enhancements and initiatives to ensure resource savings.
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders on report findings.
  • Provide relevant and specialized technical support in areas of expertise to relevant stakeholders to ensure achievement of objectives.
