Job Description
Flight Data Controller - Grade C1 
An exciting vacancy exists at Cape Town International Airport for an experienced Flight Data Controller within the Operations Management division. 
 
Key Performance Outputs 
The successful candidate, reporting to the Senior Flight Data Controller will be responsible for the following: 
  • Accurately capture air traffic movement data which include aircraft landing, take-off and parking times. 
  • Monitor all radio frequencies and escalate non-compliance. 
  • Source estimated time of arrival/departure of various aircraft operators. 
  • Update flight information display system (FIDS) data to provide passengers and airport users with up-to-date flight information. 
  • Reconciliation of Air traffic and Navigation Service logs and Airport Management System movements. 
  • Capture all movements in the Airport Management System. 
  • Ensure alignment of airline schedule against seasonal slots. 
  • Generate and distribute a resource plan for next day operational allocations for the purpose of all stakeholders. 
  • Notify Airport Operations for Apron parking, check-in counters, boarding gates and changes of any resource. 
  • Responsible for flight allocation schedules and non-scheduled operations. 
  • Ensure that all non-scheduled flights are allocated to available resources.  
  • Liaise with Air traffic and Navigation Service (ANS) to manage calculated take-off time (CTOT).  
  • Manage aircraft changes and take remedial action as and when required.  
  • Manage and coordinate airport resources. Notify marshalling department of inbound aircraft.  
  • Adhere to statutory regulations, organizational standards, policies and procedures.  
  • Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance. 
  • Analyse Stakeholder needs and identify improvement initiatives. 
  • Build, support and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships to ensure achievement of organizational goals. 
  • Implement remedial actions where required. 
  • Manage principles to ensure fair utilization between airlines. 
 
Technical Skills and Experience 
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:
  • Matric is essential. 
  • Higher Certificate in Logistics / commercial / operational is essential 
  • 1-2 years Operational experience in Aeronautical documentation is essential 
  • 1-year Operational experience in stakeholder management is essential. 
  • MS Office Intermediate level.

Job Description
 
Key Performance Output
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Senior Supervisor Accounts Receivables and will be responsible but not limited to the following:
  • Adhere to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, policies, procedures and practices.
  • Assist in preparation of periodic management accounts, including budgets, forecast, variance analysis and commentaries.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for all applicable ledger accounts and resolve all unreconciled items.
  • Create journals on relevant system.
  • Perform effective query resolution and escalate where unable to assist or resolve.
  • Prepare reconciliations for relevant balance sheet accounts and resolve all reconciling items within their control.
  • Provide relevant and administrative support to business to ensure achievement of objectives.
  • Prepare and complete Tax supporting schedules for SARS.
  • Prepare creditor reconciliations and load invoices for processing on document archiving tool.
  • Investigate and attend to resolve all payment queries.
  • Process supplier reconciliations and follow-up on non-reconciling items.
  • Prepare sundry billing for operating cost to stakeholders.
  • Perform debtors’ administration and collection (except for billing).
  • Prepare monthly Debtors reports.
  • Perform collection and daily banking/receipting.

An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Communication Specialist to join the Operations Management team at OR Tambo International Airport.
 
Key Performance Output
The successful candidate reporting to the Senior Manager Communications will be responsible for:
  • Providing input into the integrated Communications Strategy, objectives, principles, and implementation plan.
  • Implementing an internal communications review process (assess impact and engagement) and ensuring compliance across the business.
  • Developing and executing internal communications strategies and plans focused on corporate priorities and goals. Responsible for driving and sustaining messages and coordinating with Corporate Affairs Business Partners across the organization.
  • Managing communication channels and ensuring maintenance thereof – e.g., ACSA Website, etc… 
  • Deploying and embedding brand within the organization, creating a culture that instils a sense of pride among employees, in working for and a desire to be brand ambassadors for the organization.
  • Developing communication materials using a variety of tactics (written communications, presentation materials, Zoom and other platforms, town halls, small group meetings, etc.) to articulate key message.
  • Act as a single point of contact and custodian of corporate information, coordinating closely with Business. 
  • Defining feedback system to manage evaluation of communications effectiveness. Be agile in delivering internal communications. 
  • Assisting in writing and editing impactful and engaging content that effectively describes and promotes Diversity & Inclusion, Recruitment, Professional Development, Human Resources and other programmes and initiatives in support of ACSA’s goals and culture. 
  • Managing and monitoring the communications budget as well as any service providers in the communications space to secure a clean audit.
  • Adhering to and ensuring adherence to statutory regulations, organizational standards, policies and procedures.
  • Compiling and submitting relevant reports both monthly and quarterly or as an when required by the Senior manager: Communications.  
  • Identify potential reputation and brand risks and make recommendations for remedial actions. 
 
Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree (3 year), Marketing / Communications/Public Relations is essential.
  • Advanced National Diploma (NQF 7) is essential.
  • 3 – 5 years’ Operational experience in Public Relations / Communications / Relevant is essential. 
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Code 8 driver’s license.
