Job Description
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA - PERFORMANCE OUTPUTS
Configuration
Assist in ensuring that CIs are identified, accounted, reported, verified and audited.
Conduct all configuration management database changes which directly or indirectly impacts production services.
Ensure knowledge of the end-to-end implications of configuration changes and communicate such implications as appropriate to the other key service management process.
Ensure strict controls are in place for all configuration items and only authorised changes are made for all assets within enterprise IT environment.
Asset Management
Ensure that an up-to-date asset inventory for all technology assets is maintained and only authorised components are used.
Identify and manage all IT assets and IT asset maintenance.
Ensure IT Asset register visibility and on going maintenance.
Establish and monitor quality controls supporting the IT Asset management processes and associated sub processes.
Respond to IT Asset and configuration information inquiries ensuring information is delivered timely and accurate.
Ensure regular asset useful life adjustment and implementation of asset disposal.
Process Management Participates in assessment of existing processes.
Participate in development of target state use cases, functional specifications and reports requirements.
Compliance and Risk Management
Adhere to and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures.
Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance.
Ensure remedial actions are implemented timeously to address non-conformances
Ensure effective and regular communication of new statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures to ensure full awareness amongst stakeholders.
Manage the protection of intellectual property rights in asset management.
Stakeholder Management
Provide technical / professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives.
