The ARC-Plant Health and Protection seeks to appoint a highly skilled, experienced and dynamic person to the following position at the Soilborne Plant Diseases unit, Vredenburg Campus: Stellenbosch
RESEARCH SUPPORT ASSISTANT -1 YEAR FIXED-TERM CONTRACT
Salary (R107 288 – R160 132 p.a.) all-inclusive remuneration package
Key Performance Areas:
Preparation of growth media for fungi,
Isolation, purification and preservation of fungal cultures,
Assist with planting and evaluation of glasshouse and field trials,
General laboratory and administrative assistance,
Assistance with organizing scientific events.
Requirements:
Grade 12 plus 5 years relevant experience or Grade 10 plus 10 years relevant experience,
Computer literate,
Great learning capability,
Ability to work in a team,
Shows good understanding of what the job requires (take accountability and responsibility),
Has competence, confidence and trustworthy,
Ability to work in a team,
