The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) is a premier science institution that conducts research with partners, develops human capital and foster innovation in support of the agricultural sector. It provides diagnostic, laboratory, analytical, agricultural engineering services, post-harvest technology development, agrochemical evaluation, consultation and advisory services, food processing technology services as well as various surveys and training interventions. ​The ARC-Animal Production (ARC-AP) seeks to appoint a highly skilled, experienced, and dynamic persons to the following positions at Irene, Pretoria: 
 
SENIOR STORES CLERK 
 
Key Performance Areas: 
  • Report to the Supply Chain Accountant. 
  • Receive goods and Generate goods receipt notes. 
  • Issue goods to end-users. 
  • Follow up on outstanding deliveries and close purchase orders. 
  • Match delivery notes, purchase orders and invoices. 
  • Submit documents to Finance. 
  • Conduct stock take and Issue stock. 
  • Ensure monthly reconciliation of stock. 
  • Post journals. 
  • Oversee disposal of stock and assets. 
 
Requirements: 
  • Three-year National Diploma in Logistics or equivalent. 
  • 2 years relevant experience in supply chain management. 
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written). 
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office Suite. 
  • Valid driver’s license an added advantage.

Competitive remuneration package will be congruent with the scope, responsibilities, and the stature of the position.
