Job Purpose:

Duties & Responsibilities
Direct and Lead the Technical Division by:
- Leading the Technical Assessment, Quality Assurance, Eco -Labelling and Research & Development functions to ensure the achievement of Agrément South Africa’s core business processes
- Directing and overseeing the management of the team of technical evaluators and assessors to undertake the evaluation of client’s services, products, systems, etc., to ensure fit-for-purpose assessment, quality assurance, and research and development
- Providing executive-level communication with clients, staff, and stakeholders
- Overseeing the deployment, motivation, and effective utilization of human resources
- Driving and ensuring that career development plans and KRAs are in place and outputs are approved and completed as required for employees in the Division
- Ensuring that the Division is effectively resourced to achieve its mandate
- Being accountable for ensuring the availability and development of technical expertise within the division to execute its mandate
- Being responsible for the overall performance of the Division by ensuring the achievement of expected turnaround and agreed delivery service level
- Developing and providing input and guidance into formulating and finalizing strategic planning and annual performance plan for Agrément South Africa’s core processes
- Oversee and guide the determination of suitable, creative, and innovative testing systems as well as evaluation and assessment processes
- Take executive lead on client projects, shepherd the technical evaluation through various phases (of testing, assessment, evaluation, etc.) to the ultimate issuing of an Agrément Certificate, which is internationally recognized by the World Federation of Technical Assessment Organisation (WFTAO)
- Take accountability for ensuring that the necessary steps and processes involved in the certification process are followed, as set out by Agrément South Africa’s requirements
- Ensure that processes and evaluations are done in line with project management principles – ensuring that all procedures are completed within the specified budget, brief, and timeframes
- Take an executive leader in maintaining and managing links with existing clients and identify prospective clients who can make use of Agrément South Africa’s services to ensure the sustainability of the business; as well as raising the profile of Agrément South Africa nationally and internationally
- Identify and oversee the implementation of a strategic business plan for operational and sustainable growth & robustness of the technical evaluation group
- Participate in the certification approval process as an executive member of the Agrément Technical Committee
- Present recommendations to the Agrément South Africa Board for approval of applications reviewed successfully by the Agrément Technical Committee
- Perform any reasonable and agreed tasks given by the CEO
Desired Experience & Qualification
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A Degree in the Built environment (in the disciplines of Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or Architectural studies)
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Senior Management/Project Management
- A Master’s degree in the Built Environment discipline or an MBA

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Group Assistant to join our team.
Job Purpose:
To provide administrative support to Senior Management at Agrément South Africa.
Duties & Responsibilities
Administrative Support
Deliver administrative support services by:
- Providing support in respect of meeting coordination, including, but not limited to making all logistical arrangements required for meetings
- Providing secretarial and administrative support, including, ordering stationery and other office equipment, filing and other general office administration duties
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors for the maintenance of all office equipment and service areas, including overseeing the stationery room and photocopy area to ensure it is running smoothly and is always clean and tidy
- Type and prepare various documents (i.e. reports, presentations, letters, faxes, e-mails, etc.) accurately, timeously, and in accordance with the specific needs
- Perform electronic and manual filing of documents to ensure proper maintenance of records, including retrieval of documents when required
- Prepare, receive, register, and dispatch documentation and mail
- Perform information searches on the Internet, relevant books, journals and magazines in order to assist the department to execute its function
- Organize meetings and events (book meetings, arrange refreshments, distribute agendas and minutes etc.) for the Exco and other meetings as might be required
- Draft agendas and take minutes during meetings (Exco, Staff Meeting and other meetings as might be required)
- Acquire, maintain, and apply sufficient knowledge and skills to effectively utilize various software programs and systems relevant to the office environment (e.g. MS Office Suite)
- Perform any Ad Hoc Duties and all reasonable tasks given by the Office of the CEO and Corporate Services
- Performing any administrative duties as allocated by the CEO
- Assist with bookings and travel arrangements
- Attend transitional task team meetings and take minutes as required
- Assist with printing and dispatch of Annual Performance plans to Parliament when necessary
- Assist with event planning, delegation visits and anniversary celebrations
Provide secretariat and governance support to the Board and Committees by:
- Assisting with any arrangements/organization as directed by the Board Secretary
- Perform all responsible tasks given by the Corporate Services Manager
Desired Experience & Qualification
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A 3-Year Public Administration (National Diploma/B Tech/Degree), or equivalent
- 3 Years’ experience
- 5 Years’ experience
Managerial and Technical Competencies:
- Knowledge and understanding of PAIA, Public Service, Records, and Archiving standards
- Administration or secretarial function
- High level of computer literacy (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
