Duties & Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration and Advisory
- Provision of HR administration support to the business, HR record maintenance, leave administration, HR system maintenance and administration, and payroll administration
- Support the business in succession planning, retention, and staff development by liaising with line management to identify potential successors for critical positions and to provide guidance on the development of the identified successors
- Provide advice to line management in addressing staff matters i.e., grievances, disciplinaries, etc. in the provision of solutions in conjunction with the Corporate Services Manager
- Monitor the engagement of employees on changes taking place within the organization
- Review, interpret and implement HR Policies and procedures
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of HR strategies
- Facilitate the management and promotion of fair and sound Labour Relations
- Responsible for staff induction programme
- Completion and submission of all statutory HR reports
- Ensure implementation of Risk Management processes and procedures
Manage Organisational Development interventions to develop sound employee wellness and relations and create a culture of good performance by:
- Design, implement and review organisational structures in line with the organisational life cycle and in collaboration with business units
- Conduct market research as well as annual surveys into current and new remuneration practices
- Commission organisational perception surveys and review results for interventions after discussion with Management
- Identify opportunities for performance improvement through reviews to understand barriers and possible solutions
- Evaluate exit interview feedback and submit a report to Exco with recommendations to develop a retention strategy
- Benchmark Human Resources service delivery against global best practices
- Identify and address gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Manage payroll activities for the organisation in consultation with the finance department
- Liaise with benefit service providers in the development and renewal of schemes and MOUs to reduce risk to the business
- Provide required information and updates on all employee benefits available to Agrement staff
- Manage special programmes such as HR Planning, Employee Health and Wellness (EHWP)
- Facilitate organizational transformation and change management initiatives
- Develop PDPs to promote succession and talent retention for the organization
- Manage and organize all staff training requirements and the delivery thereof
- Responsible for Workplace Skills Plan
- Manage the organizational performance management system
- Drive performance outcomes and compliance
- Manage the Recruitment process for Agrement
- Establish an integrated internal control system – including policies
- Monitor and review the Human Resources risk plan
- Monitor compliance with all Human Resources-related legislation
- Attend to all Human Resources related audit matters
- Ensure implementation of processes that capture and exploit innovative opportunities
- Set, and standardize acceptable practices. Ensure efficient management of interfaces
- Ensure transformation within the area of responsibility to execute Agrement’s mandate
- Ensure a positive and constructive culture
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ensure participatory democracy and Batho Pele Principle through a caring, accessible and accountable service
- Provide sufficient resources in support of targets and objectives
- Ensure effective management and utilization of resources
- Ensure effective utilization of the unit’s budget
Manage the development and implementation of Labour Relations processes for Agrement South Africa by:
- Creating, fostering, and managing an environment of positive employee relations which drives engagement and inclusion
- Anticipate and advise the Executive Team on the impact that strategic or operational decisions will have on employee and labour relations
- Ensure regular communication with staff and management to ensure the smooth running of operations
- Obtain mutual agreement on the resolution of issues, meetings required and the delivery of inter-dependent outputs and results
- Document the interaction with the relevant role players for future reference purposes
- Ensure compliance with relevant Labour legislation
- Ensure that ASA complies with the Employment Equity Act by ensuring that the EE. plan, targets, and annual reporting are in place and implemented
- Arrange EE meetings on a quarterly basis and as and when necessary
- Carry out the secretariat duties for the EE Committee
- Implement any EE-related matters within ASA
- Ensure compliance with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA)
- Compile and submit the return on investment and ensure that the assessment outcomes are settled
- Implement any COIDA-related matters within ASA
- Assist with the development and implementation of OHS policies and procedures
- Perform all responsible tasks given by the Executive Manager: Corporate Services such as assistance with management of the facilities and records management department
Desired Experience & Qualification
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A National Diploma/ First Degree in Human Resource Management
- 3 Years’ experience as HR Generalist/Practitioner
- Professional Registration
- 5 Years’ experience as HR Generalist/Practitioner
- First Degree in Human resource Management with SAGE HR experience in SAGE
Managerial and Technical Competencies:
- HR Legislation (EEA, BCEA, LRA, PFMA, Batho Pele Principles, White Paper on Transformation, etc.)
- Extensive Knowledge of PAIA, POPIA and ASA Act
- HR Systems & Performance Management
- Project Management
- SAGE 300
- Knowledge of remuneration HR related policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information and attention to detail
- Knowledge and understanding of the relevant system and the impact of transactions captured on other systems
- Success Orientated with Strong customer service focus and ability to communicate effectively with employees and management
