REQUIREMENTS • An appropriate 3 year NQF 6 (240 credits) in Accounting/Finance Management/Economics • 3 years’ experience in Revenue Management in a Local Government Environment • Valid Code B drivers’ license • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills • Driving force and enthusiasm • Good conflict resolution skills • Good communication skills and ability to build positive relationships • Ability to work independently • Ability to handle pressure and have passion for working with people • Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) • Willingness to work overtime from time to time • Proficient in 2 of the three official languages in the Western Cape KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS • Responsible for all meter readings processes • Responsible for the yearly and monthly debit raising • Supervise, control all electricity, water, rates, services and sundries accounts • Ensure and verify that all municipal tariffs are correct • Responsible for all debtors’ journal and ensure journals are correct • Ensure timely delivery of consumer accounts • Responsible for monthly and yearly reconciliations • Compile and provide information for the monthly revenue management report • Compile reports on service rendered • Handle written and oral enquiries • Oversee timeous attention to correspondence • Check outgoing correspondence • Compile answer on audit queries • Compile the yearly/monthly audit file • Responsible for the completion of all statistical data and the reporting on it • Ensure execution of financial policies, council resolutions, etc. • Handle leave of subordinates • Address grievances and apply disciplinary procedures • Any other duties as assigned by Supervisors. Candidates must be willing to be subjected to an interview, practical and/or written assessment.
