JOB PURPOSE: To provide strategic leadership and management to the NWHC.

DutiesIn addition to serving as Accounting Officer, the person will be directly responsible for the following: Providing overall advise to the Board on policy matters related to housing in accordance with policies and legislation • provide leadership and guidance to the management of the entity • Ensure effective compliance with policies establishment and monitoring systems pf internal control • Provide effective property development and management services • Manage finances, risk, information technology and assets of the entity • Manage the human resources, safety and labour relations • Maintain and foster sound relations with stakeholders -Provide support and timely reports to all Board, Executive Authority and Legislature committees to ensure effective governance.

JOB PURPOSE: To ensure the implementation of a sound financial management in line with the relevant legislative mandates.
 
Requirements: Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting or Finance), MBA and/or CPA or CA (SA) will be added advantage and highly desirable, at least 5-10 years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in real estate development, property management, and/ or construction industry but not a prerequisite.
 
Knowledge and Skills: In depth knowledge of Basic accounting System• MTEF and the budget process • PFMA, DORA, Adjustment Appropriation Act, Income Tax, Treasury regulations • strategic thinking skills • Ability to communicate at all levels • High degree of integrity • Emotional Intelligence • Planning and managing resources •Problem solving and analysis • Proven Strategic Management and Leadership skills.
 
Duties: Ensure the provision of an effective and efficient management of revenue and expenditure- Render financial management support in terms of legislative mandates • Execute the financial strategy of the entity. Provision of sound financial advice and guidance to the Board and management • Ensure the budget planning management and reporting in line with legislative mandate • Compilation, consolidation and submission of the entity's budget accordingly • Ensure the development and implementation of systems, policies and procedures • Ensure that all transversal financial and audit queries within the entity are dealt with •Evaluate all major capital projects •Prevent unauthorised, irregular and fruitless expenditure • Administration of all assets of the entity.

Job Purpose: To manage Human Resource Management and Development services.
 
Requirements: •A Bachelor's degree or any related qualification • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in human resources management.
 
Competencies: • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation such as BCEA No. 75 of 1997, Labour Relations Act No. 66 of 1996 etc. • Knowledge and experience of employment policies and procedures • knowledge in Payroll, rewards and recognition programs as well as managing workplace safety initiatives • Strategic planning, time and organizing skills •Good communication, interpersonal skills etc.
 
Duties: Develop strategic and short term plans for the Human Resources functionality. Job Purpose: To provide secretariat support to the Board and its committees and provisioning of legal services.
 
Requirements: • An LLB Degree plus admission as an Attorney or Advocate and practicing as such for not less than 7 years plus an experience in secretariat functions for not less than 5 years.
 
Competencies: •In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and prescripts of the North West Housing Corporations Act, the Public Finance Management Act and King IV Code of Good Governance Practice. • Knowledge and experience of writing minutes of the meetings, compiling reports and best time management and control • Strategic planning, time and organizing skills, communication, Commitment, interpersonal skills etc. • Meticulous attention to detail• Knowledge and experience in the provisioning of legal advice and handling of legal matters • knowledge and experience in legal opinions.
