Purpose of the Job: An exciting opportunity exists for a Chief Executive Officer. The successful candidate will report to the Board of Directors and be responsible for the efficient management of NMISA and staff; the development of the NMISA business strategies; the development of national metrology strategies and the interaction with the international metrology organs and communities. Main Outputs and Responsibilities: The CEO of NMISA is required to: Lead a team of executives and senior managers responsible for among others, the areas of: • Strategy development and review, implementation and monitoring; • Corporate Governance and Compliance; • Communication and Stakeholder Relations Management; • Leadership of people and Organisational Operations; • Finance and Supply Chain Management; • Corporate Management and Administration; • Information and Communication Technology Management; • Legal, Risk, and Audit Management; Research, Innovation and Business development; • Business Management; • Relevant Statutory Management. This includes ensuring that NMISA adheres to the requirements outlined in the Measurement Units and Measurement Standards Act, Act No. 18 of 2006, PFMA and with other relevant legislation. ➢ Lead the development, management and execution of the NMISA overall strategy and lead the conceptualization of the overall strategy, policy and decision-making direction of the organisation to ensure the successful execution of the NMISA mandate; ➢ Lead the development, monitoring and attainment of Annual Performance Plans and targets; ➢ Lead NMISA into the modern metrology world with a specific focus on cross-disciplinary domains such as Environment, Food Safety, Quantum metrology, etc.; and ➢ Report to the board of directors and keep them informed.
