programmes and projects: • Manage advertising process, the selection of successful applicants and the required contracting activities • Manage the development and maintenance of a register for all compilation of progress and information reports according to requirements and within service level agreements • Manage the monitoring and evaluation of programmes and projects • Partake and support resource mobilization initiatives • Ensure that existing partnerships continue according to agreement • Manage timeous and accurate updating and maintenance of the stakeholder database for which the Funding unit is responsible Contract Management: • Manage the commitment and buy-in process for programmes and projects • Monitor the preparation of any required paperwork, e.g. agreements, service Key responsibilities: Coordinate operations in the Strategy Planning and Implementation unit: • Coordinate smooth running of the Strategy Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation office • Develop, maintain and control a filing and documentation control system for the Strategy Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation office • Maintain that documents are sent to the other offices within the NHC and follow-up on documents • Assist the Executive: Strategy Planning and Implementation with special projects • Conduct research on behalf of the Executive: Strategy Planning and Implementation • Effectively process incoming and outgoing correspondence for the Office Coordination of NHC’s Strategic planning: • Compile an internal communication plan and information dissemination process for review • Provide input in the development of the strategy management framework • Coordinate strategy planning sessions • Partake in conducting internal and external environmental assessments to input into the formulation of the strategy • Assess opportunities continually to maximise Provide support to business units in compiling operational plans/ business unit plans • Conduct benchmarking and gather insights in support of strategic planning • Consolidate operational plans/ business unit plans • Coordinate the approval process of the organisational strategy and annual performance plan • Maintain a repository for all strategic planning documentation • Investigate and suggest continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficiencies Coordination of joint operations and special projects in the Office of the CEO: • Perform needs analysis for the prioritisation of projects • Compile project plans • Manage compliance to standards, specifications, protocols and frameworks required for special projects • Proactively monitor projects • Comply and monitor organisation wide compliance to reporting frameworks and templates • Maintain accurate and systematic records of project information Monitoring and evaluation of NHC strategic plans: • Maintain and implement systems and processes for tracking, monitoring and evaluating the APP • Disseminate information regarding business plan requirements, time frames and deadlines organisation wide • Coordinate peer review and critical analysis of each unit’s business plan • Monitor overall NHC performance • Track the implementation of operational efficiency recommendations Stakeholder Management: • Liaise with current stakeholders in order to maintain awareness of relationship benefits • Assist in conducting a needs analysis with regard to the different stakeholders identified in terms of specific issues/concerns • Compile and maintain a database of all stakeholders with all relevant information updated on a quarterly basis • Assist in creating and maintain awareness of the NHC • Retain goodwill with all stakeholders to the benefit of the NHC Reporting: • Provide support, guidance and information to staff members to improve the capacity to compile reports • Coordinate the preparation and submission of corporate reports • Consolidate the annual performance plans • Consolidate the annual report • Compile monitoring and evaluation reports depicting areas of alignment and recording deviations where present • Identify reporting requirements and drive standardisation of reporting so as to meet organisational standards and requirements • Collate information and develop quarterly outcome reporting for the NHC • Ensure timely delivery of our clients’ quarterly Operational Efficiency report Continuous improvement: • Participate in continuous improvement of self and role outputs/services • Continuously learn and keep up to date with new developments and changes within own role, the department, organisation and industry as a whole • Actively share the workload and responsibilities of the team when required, working collaboratively and supporting team members • Maintain ownership for own work, performance management and development • Maintain optimum quality of work outputs • Maintain open and honest communication • Engage in problem solving and continuous improvement processes that optimise role outputs and services • Efficiently utilise the NHC resources • Comply to NHC policies and procedures Qualifications, skills and experience: • Graduate qualification in Business Management, Public administration or relevant NQF level 7 qualification • Sound knowledge of strategy development and implementation methods, models, theories e.g. Scenario planning, Environment Scanning (SWOT, PESTLE Analysis) • Sound knowledge of quality assurance principles • Sound knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework, inclusive but not limited to Government planning and reporting (Legislation and cycle), PFMA, Treasury regulations etc. • Computer skills • At least 5 years’ relevant experience • Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
