E04/01) – One (01) Post DIRECTORATE FINANCE Sub–Directorate: Asset Management (Acquisition and Control, Project Support) Salary Level: 006 (R 533 568 / R 548 676 / R 564 252 / R 580 344 / R 597 348 / R 613 920 / R 630 360 p.a.) Qualifications and Experience: Grade 12 plus Computer Literacy: MS Office plus a relevant 3-year tertiary qualification, preferably a National Diploma or B Com with financial accounting as a major subject plus completed SAICA/SAIPA articles plus 2 – 5 years’ relevant experience. Two (02) years’ experience in project management (CAPEX) will be an added advantage. Core Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: · Render support to project managers to maintain project related information on the Asset Management System. · Monitor the stage of completion of capital projects. · Monitor implementation of Capital Budget and reconcile the financial system with the FAR. · Gather and validate supporting documentation received from professional service providers in respect of completed capital projects. · Review payment information submitted and reconciled external support with information processed on the financial system. E04/02) – Two (02) Posts DIRECTORATE PLANNING, ECONOMIC & RURAL DEVELOPMENT AND HUMAN SETTLEMENTS Sub-Directorate: Town and Regional Planning (Development Applications Division) Salary Grade: 005 (R 650 196 / R 670 056 / R 689 904 / R 709 620 p.a.) Qualifications and Experience: Grade 12 (Matric) plus Computer Literacy: MS Office plus a relevant tertiary qualification, preferably a NQF Level 7 in Town and Regional Planning plus Registration as Professional Planner or working towards registration as a professional planner, in accordance with the Planning Professions Act 32 of 2002 plus a valid Drivers’ License plus 2 – 5 years’ relevant developmental planning experience. Core Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: · Provide assistance in the key performance areas associated with the Developmental Planning functionality, assisting in aligning functional requirements against objectives, assessing statutory applications for conformance and providing comments, opinions and/or explanations on functional outputs and professional principles to support and implement decisions on land development applications. E04/03) – One (01) Post DIRECTORATE TECHNICAL SERVICES Sub-Directorate: Water Salary level: GM Level Total Cost (R 1 601 964 / R 1 735 584 / R 1 879 488 per annum) Qualifications and Experience: Grade 12 plus Computer Literacy: MS Office plus B. Tech Civil or B.Sc Civil Engineering or equivalent (in case of a foreign qualification SAQA certificate is required) plus seven (07) years’ experience at a senior level in a medium to large organisation plus a valid driver’s license. Registration as a Professional Engineer/Technologist with the Engineering Council of South Africa will be an added advantage. If not registered a candidate must register within 24 months from the date of appointment. Core Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: · Lead the staff within the Sub-Directorate Water so they are able to achieve the objectives set for them; · Plan and manage the key performance areas and result indicators associated with the formulation and review of plans in line with KPI’s; · Identification and prioritizing of needs and measures necessary to address the provision of basic services; · Plan, monitor and control the sub-directorate’s budget; · Report to the HOD: Engineering Services to keep him/her informed; · Develop a comprehensive management framework to enable effective program implementation and monitoring; · Conduct and coordinate strategic long and short tem planning of the unit, related to the Program Implementation on behalf of the HOD; · Provide operational supervision of staff related to specific programmes; · Manage the operating budget Additional Requirements: · Proficiency in at least two (2) official languages of service of MMM; · Advanced organising and planning skills; · Advanced multi-sector research, analysis and report writing skills; · Plan and prioritise tasks in time; · Be able to work under pressure; · Good interpersonal skills; · Innovation and creativity in the formulation of practical solutions to architecture and survey challenges; · Detailed knowledge of the legal framework that governs architecture and survey sectors in South Africa; · Able to analyse and draw conclusions; · Be willing to work outside of standard working hours and days.
