KWAZULU NATAL DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SETTLEMENTS GRADUATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME The Provincial Department of Human Settlements offers unemployed graduates residing in the Province of KwaZulu Natal an opportunity to apply for an Internship in order to gain work related experience. The Internship Programme will run for a period of 24 (twenty four) months.

The Department of KZN Human Settlements is offering Bursaries to previously disadvantaged students which will be studying towards the scarce and critical skills to address the outsourcing of Professionals within the Department. They must be exceptionally performing students and /or first year at tertiary who wish to pursue their studies in the following housing related fields: Environment Management Architecture Studies Civil Engineering Project Management Planning Town and Regional Planning Urban and Regional Planning Construction Management Quantity Surveying Land Surveying Human Settlement/Housing Property Management (Real Estate) Work Integrated Learners (WIL) also known as Experiential Learners these are students that need work experience so that they can go back to their various Institutions and graduate. This Programme varies from different Institutions, some require 3, 6, 12 or 18 months of exposure for their students to qualify for graduation. These students can apply for Internship after graduating. Criteria for an Internship This Programme is meant for Graduates which are between the ages of 18 to 35. It runs for 12 months (1 year). They must have graduated with at least one of the following Degrees / Diplomas: Bachelor of Housing / Community Development / Public Management National Diploma / Bachelor of Commerce in Logistics and Marketing National Diploma / Degree: Financial Management / Accounting National Diploma / Degree: Project Management Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) with Conveyancing: Land Estate or Bachelor of Arts with Law subjects National Diploma: Office Management Bachelor of Business Administration National Diploma / Degree: Human Resources Management / Organisational Development.
