SALARY : Total Annual Package (CTC) – R708,442.00
LOCATION : ICASA (Head Office – Centurion)
POSITION STATUS : Permanent
Purpose of the job
To support the Internal Audit Division to execute the operational plan and to provide assurance as to the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls by conducting value-adding risk based audits in accordance with Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing to assist ICASA in the accomplishment of its objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for Continuous Monitoring (CM) activities within Internal Audit – IT. Develop and execute certain CAATS for the audit teams on specific assignments. Perform IT general and application control reviews when required under supervision of the audit senior.
Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Audit Manager, and their responsibilities will include: ● Audit Planning, execution and project quality ● Auditee / engagement management ● Audit and Management Reporting ● People management ● Coding of scripts in SQL or through the use of analytical tools, testing scripts and validating results before documenting audit work papers
● Obtaining management comments and producing a final audit report ● Engaging with system and data owners, administrators, IT and business in understanding processes so that the data is understood and exceptions reported are meaningful ● Assisting with Internal Audit management reports where information is collated and presented in graphical or statistical formats.
Qualifications and Experience: ● Relevant Academic Degree (NQF Level 7) / 4 year degree e.g. Bachelor of Computer Science or Accounting/Auditing or equivalent ● CIA / CISA is an added advantage ● 3-5 years IT audit experience demonstrating thorough knowledge and expertise in data analytics (CAATS), use of tools and or personally developed scripts in SQL and or VB ● Ability to understand business processes, systems and data structures ● Ability to engage with business and IT (technical) to obtain required information ● Understanding risks and controls.
