TERM OF APPOINTMENT: Permanent employment (a) REQUIREMENTS • At least NQF Level 7 in fi elds of Accounting, Finance or Economics or Chartered Accountant (SA) • Valid unendorsed Drivers' license. • The Municipal Finance Management Programme qualification (MFMP/ CPMD) in line with the Government Gazette No. 37245 which states that the higher education qualification, work related experience and other requirements for the position of the Chief Financial Officer are as prescribed under the Local Government: Municipal Regulations on Minimum Competency Levels, 2007, issued in terms of the Municipal Finance Management Act, as published under the Government Notice No. 493 in Government Gazette No. 29967 of 15 June 2007, will be added advantage. (b) WORK RELATED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE Experience • Five (05) years’ experience at middle management. Knowledge • Financial Management and prescripts, guidelines and standards, Treasury Regulations and King Report on Corporate Governance; Understanding of relevant policies and legislations; institutional governance systems and performance management; Good knowledge of Supply Chain Management Regulations and the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, 2000 (Act No. 5 of 2000).
