REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 12/ NQF level 4
• Valid Code EB driver’s license
• 1 Year Supervisory experience in a similar environment
• Ability to communicate in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape
SPECIAL CONDITIONS ATTACHED TO THE POST
• Good supervisory skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to deal with conflict and grievances
• Willingness to work overtime
• Ability to perform under pressure
• Good Health to carry out duties
• Ability to pick up medium weight equipment
DUTIES:
• Control the functioning for team responsible signing road marks
• Contribute to road safety and ensuring that all signs and markings are kept in a good and well-maintained state
• Carry out the daily maintenance of existing road marks in need of a new coat of paint

• Tend to personnel related matters and issues
• Recommend leave of subordinates when applied for
• Ensure the safety of subordinates when in transit to place of work
• Supervise the safe loading of equipment and material to be used
• Assist public reporting damage traffic signs in person while busy with another project
• Receive telephonic complains from public on defective signage
• Sign time sheets after verifying the details for correctness
• Tend to personnel related matters and issues
• Recommend leave of subordinates when applied for

• 1 Jaar toesighoudende ondervinding in ‘n soortgelyke omgewing
• Vermoë om in ten minste twee van die amptelike tale van die Weskaap te kommunikeer

PLIGTE:
• Beheer die werking van spanverantwoordelike ondertekening van padmerke
• Dra by tot die padveiligheid en verseker dat alle tekens en merke in 'n goeie en goed onderhoude toestand gehou word
• Voer die daaglikse instandhouding van bestaande padmerke uit wat 'n nuwe verflaag benodig
• Inspekteer padmerke en verkeerstekens wat aandag moet kry vir plasing in die onderhoudskedule
• Gee aandag aan aangeleenthede en kwessies rakende personeel
• Beveel verlof van ondergeskiktes aan indien aansoek gedoen word
• Verseker die veiligheid van ondergeskiktes tydens vervoer na werkplek
• Hou toesig oor die veilige laai van toerusting en materiaal wat gebruik moet word
• Help openbare aanmelding van verkeerde verkeerstekens persoonlik terwyl u besig is met 'n ander projek
• Ontvang telefoniese klagtes van die publiek oor gebrekkige tekens
• Teken tydstate na verifiëring van die korrekte besonderhede
