GENERAL PUBLIC SERVICE SECTORAL BARGAINING COUNCIL (GPSSBC) The General Public Service Sectoral Bargaining Council (GPSSBC) is designated in terms of section 36 of the Labour Relations Act of 1995 (as amended). The objectives of the council are, among others, to: Create an environment conducive for collective bargaining within the Scope of the Council. Maintain and promote labour peace. Prevent and expeditiously resolve labour disputes. The GPSSBC invites qualified suitable individuals to apply for the following position, based at the organisation's offices in Centurion, Tshwane: Officer: Collective Bargaining Basic salary: R316 791.00 excluding benefits per annum as well as 13th cheque, provident fund, medical aid and housing allowance
Key performance areas: • Provide secretarial support for meetings of Chambers, Council, EXCO, Task Teams and ad hoc Committees • Plan and organise meetings for the Chambers, and other structures within the organisation • Create and maintain a follow-up system on actions arising from the meetings • Manage general correspondence of Chambers and Council dealing with collective bargaining issues and report accordingly • Ensure maintenance of the integrity of incoming and outgoing documents within the Collective Bargaining Unit • Regularly correspond with the various structures to ensure that logistics are confirmed for meetings and workshops • Maintain regular and dear communication with the Structures • Be responsible for relationship building with the various Structures • Carry out Special Council projects, including AGM of Council, AGMs of Chambers, and Training Activities delivered by Council • Provide assistance to Council and all other Structures of Council including Chambers as and when required • Complete tasks allocated on Council's correspondence and task management system, Collaborator • File to the Council's electronic file plan on Collaborator • Ensure the effective and efficient operational functioning of the Collective Bargaining Unit • Perform general administration duties • Liaise with service providers.
