Key performance areas: • Implement and conduct research on identified research Projects in the CRL Rights Commission • Implement strategies for the promotion and protection of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic rights of communities • Provide support to the Research & Policy Development Unit and maintain active directory of CRL stakeholders. PROCUREMENT CLERK Fixed Term: 12 months Monthly Salary: RI4 475 Locality: Head Office: Braamfontein, Johannesburg Purpose: To render effective and efficient clerical services for the supply chain Unit of the Commission. Job Requirements: Generic Competencies & Technical Skills: • Ability to speak two or more of the official indigenous languages will be an added advantage • Computer skills • Good interpersonal relations skills • Job Knowledge in SCM • Team Work • Flexibility • Knowledge: • Basic knowledge of Supply Chain duties, practices as well as the ability to operate a computer, and Pastel Evolution software will be an added advantage • Basic knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing SCM in the Public Service Experience: • Minimum of 2 years functional experience in a similar position Qualifications: • National Senior Certificate/Grade 12 • Diploma in SCM or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage. Key performance areas: • Render demand and acquisition clerical support • Handle queries related to procurement of goods and services • Render logistical support to Procurement Services Unit. EDUCATION OFFICERS X2 Fixed Term: 12 months Monthly Salary: R31 383 Locality: Head Office: Braamfontein, Johannesburg Purpose: To implement the public education and engagement based programmes relevant to the mandate of the CRL Rights Commission. Key performance areas: • Implement and coordinate public education and awareness campaigns in accordance with the approved business plan of the Unit and the annual performance plan • Implement strategies and conduct interventions for the promotion and protection of the rights of cultural, religious and linguistic communities • Maintain all CC's directory and ensure active engagement of Community Councils in nation building • Compile monthly reports on Public Education & Engagement activities. LEGAL OFFICER Fixed Term: 12 months Monthly Salary: R31 383 Locality: Head Office: Braamfontein, Johannesburg Purpose: To provide support on case management, legal service and other functions related to Legal Services and Conflict Resolution Unit. Job Requirements: Competencies & Skills: • Ability to speak two or more of the official indigenous languages will be an added advantage • Computer Literacy including typing skills • Project management skills • Good interpersonal skills • Good presentation and problem solving skills • Good record and time management skills • Ability to work under pressure • Negotiation skills • Driver's licence is a pre-requisite (Applicants should be able to drive in big cities and rural areas) Knowledge: • Knowledge of interpretation, application and limitation of the law Experience: • Minimum of 2 years functional experience in a similar position including experience in investigations and mediation Qualifications: • LLB degree/Bachelor degree in Law. Key performance areas: • Conduct investigations and handle complaints on Cultural, Religious and Linguistic rights of communities • Provision of legislative influence and synergy implementation • Render legal services support and facilitate conflict resolution in the Commission and amongst C-R-L communities • Handle project management and supervision of staff in the Unit • Implement stakeholder cooperation strategy and business.
