REQUIREMENTS: • B.Tech in internal Auditing or B.com degree. • A minimum of 4 years' experience in strategic performance management, preferably in local government. • Knowledge of strategic planning and management. • Knowledge of local government and its legislative frame work. • Experience in the field of auditing of pre-determined objective will be an added advantage. • Computer literacy, specifically in excel and a valid driver's license. POST: LAND SURVEYOR DIRECTORATE: EDPE REMUNERATION: R448 836.05 CENTRE: HEAD OFFICE RESPONSIBILITIES: • Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed. • Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites. • Direct or conduct surveys in order to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles. • Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features. • Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain. • Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys. • Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements. • Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and, boundaries in survey areas, using theodolites, transits, levels, and satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS).) • Analyze survey objectives and specifications in order to prepare survey proposals or to direct others in surveyproposal preparation. • Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data in order to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features. • Develop criteria for survey methods and procedures. REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor's degree in surveying • 4 years relevant experience as a surveyor • Valid driver's license. • Communication and interpersonal skills , • Ability to work within group ,strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities
POST: Internal Auditor Remuneration: R448 836.05 Directorate: Municipal Manager Centre: Head Office RESPONSIBILITIES • Conducting audit assignments in accordance with the approved audit methodology and IIA standards • Planning, executing and reporting audit reviews based on an approved plan • Preparing flow charts of systems and business processes • Performing risk identification and assessment of specific audit areas • Testing control compliance and documenting results of tests • Perform any other tasks assigned • Good planning, co-ordination and liaison skills • Good communication (verbal and written) skills as well as good interpersonal relations • Good problem solving, project and conflict management skills • Ability to compile audit reports • Analytical skills and innovation abilities. • Sense of discretion and confidentiality. • Knowledge of ISPPIA and risk management and internal control frameworks REQUIREMENTS • Applicant must be in possession of a BCom Degree with Auditing Major or BTech or Diploma in Internal Auditing • At least 5 years' experience in Auditing • Knowledge and understanding of the Standards for professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the relevant legislations and regulations that govern the Public Service including the Municipal Finance Management Act. • A valid Driver's License and willingness to travel • Computer Literacy in MS Office software and Team Mate. POST: TOWN PLANNER x2 DIRECTORATE: EDPE REMUNERATION: R448 836.05 CENTRE: HEAD OFFICE RESPONSIBILITIES • Evaluate land development application • Facilitate for the removal of illegal structure within the Municipality • Conducting awareness and workshop with regards to town planning policies, legislations and procedures. • Prepare layout plans for bulk site demarcations. • Preparation of reports concerning projects and town planning related matters. • Participate and facilitate meetings • Work with other professionals, such as architects, landscape architects, civil engineering, construction managers andsurveyors to achieve development goals. • Liaise with the public and councillors on development within the municipal jurisdiction. • Making policies and implementation of plans. REQUIREMENTS • Degree in town and regional planning • 3 years relevant experience as a town planner. • Registered with SACPLAN as technician or professional planner • Communication and interpersonal skills ,ability to work within group .strong problem solving and critical thinkingabilities • Experience or knowledge of CAD, GPS tools. • Valid driver's license.
