HR BUSINESS PARTNER (1-year fixed-term contract) The ZA Domain Name Authority (.ZADNA) is the regulator and manager of dotZA (.ZA) – South Africa’s domain namespace. The purpose of this role is to develop and implement HR policies, assist in the attraction and management of talent, employee relations, regulatory compliance, training and development, day-to-day HR operations and contribute towards the achievement of organisational objectives. Key responsibilities: • Consult with line management and provide daily HR guidance and support to employees through first-line HR contact. • Provide support in relation to employee performance, ensuring line managers are familiar with and adhere to performance management & disciplinary policies and procedures, and ensuring that accurate performance data is recorded and available to facilitate effective decision-making. • Support the recruitment processes such as developing the job specification, placing the advert and preliminary short-listing, scheduling of interviews and preparation of interview packs up the placement of the successful candidate. • Collate the required onboarding documentation for month-end payroll and record-keeping purposes. • Support line managers to complete the probation contracts and annual performance contracts and communicate timelines for the performance reviews. • Assist in developing the annual training plans and procuring of service providers. • Ensure employees who have not met the expected and agreed performance standards and targets are managed. • Support the annual increase process, benchmarking, and remuneration management activities. • Interface with the payroll team to ensure employees are paid accurately, and payroll requirements are met, e.g., contracts of employment (new hires), termination actions, and leave. • Manage employee benefits and act as the first point of contact to third parties on pension fund, medical aid etc. • Record and maintain accurate records relating to employee reward, remuneration and benefits. • Assist and ensure the effective implementation of employee wellness initiatives to enhance employee wellbeing. • Assist with identifying issues relating to employee morale, organisational culture, and organisational climate. • Maintain the repository of all job profiles, review, and update in line with the approved organisational structure. • Ensure confidentiality and security of all employee and HR data in line with the POPI Act. • Support the development of the relevant policies, maintain up to date documents and ensure any amendments/changes are made and communicated to employees. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial/Organisational Psychology or related field. • An Honours degree in Human Resources, Industrial/ Organisational Psychology, or related field is advantageous. Experience • Minimum of 5 years experience in Human Resources. INTERNAL LEGAL OFFICER (One-year fixed-term contract) The ZA Domain Name Authority (ZADNA) is the regulator and manager of .ZA domain namespace. ZADNA seeks to appoint an Internal Compliance and Legal Officer on a fixed-term contract. The incumbent of this role will provide guidance, support and advice related to legal and compliance matters internal to ZADNA. The Internal Compliance and Legal Officer role will be reporting directly to the Executive Manager: Regulations and Compliance. Key responsibilities: • Managing internal policy development and review processes quarterly across all ZADNA departments in line with the legislative framework relevant. • Assisting the Finance Department and the Risk Champion in assessing the Operational and Strategic Risks of the Organisation. • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating Service Level Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding/Agreement, and any other contracts that have an internal bearing on ZADNA operations and activities. • Keep abreast with any changes in the legal landscape and examine how these changes affect the legislative framework and policies of the organisation. • Attending to any internal legal queries from all ZADNA departments as requested, and recommending courses of action. • Providing training on policy issues to the internal team on a case-by-case basis. • Attending general queries relating to contracts and legislation and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. • Advising on legal matters within ZADNA Departments. • Assisting with preparing and drafting resolutions, and meeting agendas, maintaining organisational registers, and taking minutes of relevant meetings as and when required. • Assuming the role of a Privacy Officer of ZADNA for reporting in line with the legislation affecting ZADNA. • Maintaining confidentiality and upholding the organisations morals and ethics. • Reviewing and advising on improvements and standardisation of quality control and assurance systems with respect to improved regulatory frameworks. • Preparing and submitting technical reports as required. Qualifications • Bachelor of Laws (LLB); • Admitted Attorney; • Postgraduate qualifications in Contract Management, ICT/Business Law, and Compliance management would be an advantage. Experience • Five (5 )years experience in ICT law, Corporate law, or Business Law; • Five (5) years of experience in contract negotiation and policy development.
